What about pro bowls?

Mark Sanchez reminds me of an old Rams QB named Vince Ferragamo. The Rams were a really good team, and Ferragamo was a young QB when he was given the starting job. He "led" the Rams to Super Bowl XIV in 1979, and almost defeated the Steelers in a major upset. The thing was that everyone knew he wasn't very good. He had talent, he looked the part, but he wasn't good at reading defenses and he wasn't all that accurate. But he was lucky...the 50/50 balls he put up were caught by his WRs, he'd throw into double-coverage and it would still work out, but after awhile the law of averages caught up with Ferragamo and he became a below average QB in the CFL and with the Bills. I picture something similar happening to Sanchez.

Sanchez plays much better with the game on the line than he does in the second quarter. He's made a bunch of big throws in key moments this year, even in games where he looked pedestrian for four quarters leading up to the final drive.

i think sanchez has done a good job for the jets. he is young and unproven so any stats are not a fair representation of his play. the jets happen to have a good road record under sanchez....but we all know they won those games despite him being under center, not because of him being under center.

sanchez did play great last week. but they did not win because of him. all 4 of these road wins are a credit to the defense and team effort. Its not like sanchez won those 4 games. he just happened to be the QB. Look at his game against the colts. he played like shit and they were lucky the dee carried them to the win

I disagree, when the Pats scored and made it 14-11 I thought Sanchez leading the scoring drive right after that (58 yd pass to Cotchery, and a nice 7 yd TD pass to Holmes in the back of the end zone the two biggest plays) was huge in that game.

I don't know if I take as much as the OP from Sanchez's road record, but I think he did make contributions and had a big hand in winning at least 1, maybe 2 of those road wins.

Discussions about this shit are so stupid, because if Sanchez had played like crap and they lost, Jets fans would be on here defending him because it's a team game, etc...you can use whichever argument suits you at that time. The fact is, Sanchez and the Jets are in the AFCCG, and whomever fairly or unfairly receives credit or blame, they still have a legitimate shot at winning the title. I doubt if they pull it off Sanchez is going to be concerned about the total number of road playoff wins his team got while he was behind center. Just like if the Steelers win I doubt Roethlisberger is going to ho-hum over the fact that most of his playoff wins came at home.
