Brayden Schenn suspended 1 game for hitting Volchenkov last night, and Hartnell out indefinitely with a foot injury.....the hits just keep coming.

I didn't watch the second game, but Ovechkin's time on the PK needs to end right now. He's catching a lot of the blame for it, and we have more than enough two-way players like Ward and Brouwer who can kill penalties that we don't need AO out there.

In other news, Avs lost Steve Downie for the season with a torn ACL. Tough break, he seemed to be a great fit last year after being traded to Colorado.
 
Leafs lost Lupul for a good amount of time. Fractured forearm.

In other news was offered Ovey and a 5th round pick for Tarasenko and my 2nd round pick. Deep keeper league. Muling over it cuz tarasenko is a beast.
 
Just picked up Tarasenko in our league after trying to for the last two days. Hubby was a hot play, but didn't work out.
 
So I read this morning that some pittsburgh sports writers are calling pitts the hockey mecca of the NHL right now.

Only been 28 Pennsylvania born players to make it into the NHL. I believe Massachusetts alone his more players in the NHL currently than that state has put in historically. W/O breaking it down into Pittsburgh and Philly area players here's the best that PA can put on the ice. I am not even going to bother with a Ontarian team as it would be too hard to pick who is best.


Center - Rj Umburger - decent player

Left Wing - Ryan Malone (decent player but really? that's the best LW it's produced)

Right Wing - George Parros (I guess, but PA has only produced 3 RWs in it history)

Defence- Bob Beers & I don't even know, you would think with 28 players, it would be easy but...

Goalie - Mike Richter The only player of any quality. Arguably the best US goalie, no less than top 5 all time US goalie.
