Congrats to the Cardinals. Crazy that they were the last team in, and five weeks ago their fans were packing it in and calling it a lost season. Oh well, anything can happen in October as we learn year after year. Cards-Rangers should be a fucking slugfest of a series.

Pujols v. Cruz Control ... Should be solid.
 
I ended up getting tickets to game 6. Unbelievably epic. Definitely a night I'll never forget. Will post a few videos when I get back home later this week.

You can't predict baseball. Who would have thought we'd of turned to shit that badly. It was a good year, but now we're left with the sour taste of a failed "all in" strategy. Hopefully Doug Melvin doesn't offer Fielder a ridiculous contract, I wouldn't offer him anything more then a 5/75 deal.

Luckily Ryan Braun, who is a lot better then Prince Fielder, is a Brewer for life. He's already on the doorstep of the Brewer postseason hit record, and I don't think it will take him long to make that record his own. If we can keep Gallardo and Greinke long term we should a damn good rotation for a long time. The Brewers have four B+/B level starting pitchers in the system who will all be in the majors by sometime in 2013.

I loved this year, and I can't wait for next year. Congrats to the Cardinal fans, but I sure as fuck aren't cheering for you in the World Series. Surprisingly I haven't heard from my friends in St. Louis they probably assume I'm face down in a ditch on I-94.

We offered Fielder that contract when the team was dog shit with starters like Looper and Bush.

Now we're a team coming off the best season in team history, with a good shot at remaining competitive. If Fielder wants to stay in Milwaukee great, but they shouldn't be pissing away the teams future by signing him to a ridiculous contract. 5/75 is the limit to where I feel the Brewers could retain enough financial flexibility to remain competitive in the future.
