Wrong, he has been a bad in game manager a bunch of times, and seems to show it at the worst times. I agree he's good with the players and they like him which is great.
I agree Utley fucked up, but even if they turn the DP, Thome got a single the next AB which would've tied the game anyway.
Using 5 pitchers in 1 inning is bad. What happens if they got out of that tied and went extras?
Taking Madson out after he got a huge K and putting in a rookie pitcher with the bases loaded on the road in a playoff game might have been the dumbest thing I've ever seen Manuel do.
And before all that, taking Pedro out who had completely dominated an LA lineup all day and showed no signs of fatigue and wasn't in trouble at all was horrible. Pedro deserved the chance to start the 8th inning. He had a low pitch count and was facing the bottom of the order. He was in complete control.
Don't give me this "lmao @ managing" shit, it was a big reason we lost today, and in my opinion, bigger than Utley's fuckup.

Are you kidding me? He's been making terrible decisions. One of the biggest IMO was game 3 of the NLDS when he pitched Blanton and Happ. If it wasn't for the weather Pedro would have pitched and from what I've been hearing on MLB network he wasn't ready to pitch that game and didn't really look forward to pitching in the cold weather.

Big game tonight, with Randy Wolf coming home and Blanton taking the mound. I'm a little nervous with Blanton, since he hasn't started in what seems like forever, but he was arguably are most consistent pitcher when you take into account the entire season (although Happ had better numbers). Still, the Dodgers haven't been able to hit shit, so let's hope that that continues. That, and so long as we get guys on for Howard, the man has proven he'll bring them in.
