I don't know how far we want to take this, but I've heard reports that the Jaguars front office is "gaga" over Rolando McClain. I've also heard that one of the OLB spots with go to Daryl Smith and then Ingram and Durant will battle over the other spot, which means they are openly looking for a middle linebacker. So we absolutely love Rolando, and we also like Sean Lee and Pat Angerer. I have a strong feeling if the Chiefs don't shock us again, and take McClain with their pick, then the Jaguars will take him at 10. If he is gone by then, then it would also seem like a lock for us to take Angerer in the third round. The one thing we can be sure on is that the Jaguars will be looking for a talented ILB in the draft this year.

I'm fine with anything, as long as it helps that sorry ass defense...JDR just gave an interview, also, where he says they're not going to give up on Reggie Nelson just yet, so he's not going anywhere in case y'all thought otherwise. Same with Garrard...

It's scary to know Reggie Nelson will be back starting for another year. I don't mind Garrard, I think with another year under their belts Sims Walker and Mike Thomas will be even better, Marcedes is becoming a reliable target and Dillard will be coming back from his injury. I think with all of that, plus another year with Monroe and Britton playing tackle, Garrard has a chance to have a decent year. I just hope with this draft we can get McClain, a defensive end, and hopefully a center to replace Meester. If we do those three things, plus add a free agent or two, I think we can make a playoff push. At this point, the only way I would pass on McClain is if Eric Berry fell to us.

Also Reggie Hayward and Clint Ingram were not resigned and Defensive End Jared DeVries is on our radar is far as signings go. So, so far we have Kasim Osgood and Jared DeVries on our wish list.

According to various people, Aaron Kampman is in town to meet with the Jaguars. If so, this is certainly an encouraging sign as to what the market price for Kampman is. Between signing him for the right price and resigning Reggie Hayward, it would be a good first step in the right direction for the d-line.

Personally a line of Kampman/Big John/Pot Roast/Hayward teamed up with Durant/Rolando/Smith could make us one of the better defenses in the AFC again. That's also if we can move up to the 2nd round, or get a good safety in the third round. This defense needs to be saved, and if we can get Kampman, Hayward, Rolando and a safety, we are looking at possibly playoffs.

If Berry is there at 10 I think we should take him. If he isn't I think we should trade down and get more picks. We need more picks and Gene Smith proved last year that he is a damn good drafting GM. It may have been a one year wonder for him but I trust he could strike gold 2 years in a row.

Getting Kampman and Hayward, plus rotating in Harvey, Julius Williams and possibly selecting a DE in the 3rd/4th round of the draft, our line could get over 14 sacks on the year.
