Official Madden 2010 - Player Ratings

Its gonna be good just because last years madden had crazy players that were actually rated really good and backups could actually be as good as starters, well this year its gonna be tougher.

yea, there were plenty of times where people would start QB's WR's and RB's just because of their speed, no matter how bad their overall was. That should stop this year.

holy shit he said Denver's best dlineman is Peterson and rated a 72 overall.

I've been looking at the ratings and I like what I see so far. The gap between great players and good players looks to be enormous. How the difference in the overall ratings will transfer to on the field play is the question.

Kerry Collins, who is by all means a decent NFL QB, is only a 79. Really going to be interesting to see how his play compares to the upper echelon QBs. I'm hoping there is a huge difference in accuracy, touch, and ball projection.

I thought they were going to be doing them alphabetically but if you go here: http://espn.go.com/videogames/features/madden/madden10?teamId=12 it says the Fins' ratings will be released on July 28.

If you plug in numbers (1-32) at the end of the URL you can figure out when each team is going to be released. The teams are alphabetically listed chronologically if that makes any fucking sense at all.

Bears have a slow secondary and play the cover 2 scheme...speed is useless in their secondary essentially.. and they've always been known to have a slower secondary.

Keep in mind that these ratings aren't finalized. If there are flaws and enough people complain I'm sure the devs are willing to adjust them, they've done it before.

The only explanation I have for the Bears DBs having slower speed ratings than the LBs is that speed doesn't necessarily mean good coverage in this years game. The Bears CBs essentially could have decent cover skills without having great speed. The LBs have higher speed ratings because they are better in pursuit and quicker to get across field and to ball carriers.

That's the only logical explanation that I can think of.
