But the video coordinator is part of the football staff and it answers to the head football coach. Football staff was negligent, and a student got killed for it. I don't think years later we should be using whatever reaction Te'o had or whatever gesture he made as a feather in his cap or anything. That's kind of exploitative.

Not that I care to disrupt this circle jerk of a thread anymore, so please resume your hagiography.
 
Story has nothing to do with the Heisman.

Manti is a great guy.. That's super awesome.

If I were the family of Sullivan I would be a tad miffed that his name was still being uttered in passing to the media especially if its from the PA announcer. Someone had to tell him that story because I don't know a ton of PA guys that attend practices and he's only giving it to the media to keep this hype train rolling.

There are plenty of stories already about the depth of Te'o's character. This one wasn't necessary and should have been kept in house.

Trying to extrapolate blame to Kelly for the video staff actually following procedures set forth long before Kelly was the coach is lame and factually incorrect. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about and I'm not really gonna discuss it further as a result. It's pointless. The report is nearly 150 pages long, if you care to read it I'll link it. I accepted that Manziel was going to win two weeks ago. Not saying I agree with it, but you guys are funny.

Back in September it was going to be funny to bump this thread when Manti wasn't even in the conversation. Instead he is the highest finishing defensive player in voting history, he was on more ballots than RG3 and Andrew Luck both last year, and recorded the second most first place votes for a runner up in the award's history.

Did I mention he won two other player of the year awards? Not bad.

But yeah... 12-0, 4 quarters from being national champions, and a Heisman runner up.
