That's what I'm doing? I think it's awful Declan died.... but Manti is the first player to get to him and whispers a prayer in his ear as he passes away, and nobody hears about it. Not saying it should be plastered in the media, but these are the type of things that Manti does that nobody hears about and why he is so loved at the University.

You don't think that's a great story? I'm not using this as an opp to boost his Heisman candidacy, it's just something nobody has heard about before. It's heartbreaking, really.

But you're right, I'm glad BK risked Declan's life that day just so Manti could pray to him and boost his Heisman op.

I'm also happy that numerous people have cancer so that Manti could reach out to them and offer his feelings to them and their families so he can boost his Heisman op.

Te'o is a stand up guy and a guy every school and professional team in the country would like in their locker room. Like this situation, Manti has continually shown compassion and sympathy despite dealing with so much himself.

Affleck-Graves reported that the main reasons for the accident were:

A sudden and extraordinary 53 mph burst of wind.

Staff members’ lack of knowledge regarding on-the-field wind speeds.

The lift that fell, a Marklift, is structurally different than two other lifts used that day and more susceptible to tipping.

The height of the lift at the time of the accident.
