But you'd be even more foolish to believe that he's gonna stay in Cleveland... I mean the 76ers went to the finals once wit Ivo and he's been to 2 other teams since then.

The refs got Cleveland to the finals and the Spurs sent them back home with some tissue and a tub of vasoline. lol

Which means...yeah LeBron made the finals once, but so didn't Iverson and now he's played for two different teams.

Unless we're speaking completely different languages...you're saying that making the finals wasn't enough for Iverson to stay..and you think LeBron will be in the same situation.

I said, Iverson didn't have the choice to stay or go because he wasn't a free agent like LeBron will be...he was traded.

A couple of weeks ago this would have raised no eyebbrows. Teams were cutting their rosters down to the required 15 for the start of the regular season. Now, however, it is more than a little suspisious. There has been plenty of trade talk surrounding the Bobcats, who have made all but public overtures to the New Jersey Nets and the Los Angeles Clippers, and are openly shopping Gerald Wallace in their desire to land a true center to play next to Emeka Okafor. Now they've suddenly waived two players, taking their roster down to 13. Sounds like the Bobcats have a taker, and that in the deal they're getting back more players than they're sending out. According to a couple of well-informed sources the Bobcats have been aggressively working the phone lines as they watch their attendance drop in direct proportion to their winning percentage. It sounds like we could see a huge move made by the Bobcats in the next few hours.

Portland/Memphis deal dead for now

Memphis suddenly is becoming the place for dormant deals. Yahoo.com reported Saturday that although nothing is imminent, the Griz and Portland Trail Blazers have held ongoing discussions about a trade that would essentially swap Mike Conley for Travis Outlaw. Those discussions, which began during the summer, continued through the first week of the season and have been dead for the past month. The proposed deal began as a player-for-player swap involving Conley and Outlaw. At one point, Memphis was willing to include Hakim Warrick and asked for point guard Steve Blake. The Blazers countered with guard Sergio Rodriguez, who the Griz deemed a poor fit with their plans.

I would have liked the trade for Dallas, even though that would take them out of the 2010 FA race, but it's not like im expecting lebron to come down to Dallas.

On WEEI (New England Radio) they were talking about possible deals. I turned it on late so didnt reallt listen to the whole thing but I think they said something like Rondo, Allen, Perkins for Stodamire (sp?), Nash, and a first round draft pick. Then they said since Amare and Nash' contracts are up in 2010 they could make a run after LeBron or Dwade. But I didnt get to hear the whole thing so dont know if it was what they think the Celtics should do or if it was something that has been rumored.

ZBO almost went to the Grizzlies for Milicic and Buckner, but Sterling said no to the trade.

The Grizzlies and Clippers agreed in principle to a trade involving Zach Randolph, but Los Angeles owner Donald Sterling nixed the deal.

During Thursday night's NBA Draft, the two clubs worked out a deal centered around Randolph and Darko Milicic. Memphis guard Greg Buckner would have also been part of the trade.

After Sterling stopped the deal, the Grizzlies traded Milicic to the Knicks for Quentin Richardson.

Well even though ZBO has a huge contract teams would still love him. He can easily get 20 and 10 a night even though he doesnt play that much defense. The Grizzlies need a low post scorer and ZBo would have filled it for them.
