I'm starting to get worried about Bradford.

He was put on a shitty team with a shitty head coach and has had a couple of injuries now. You gotta think his confidence is shot right now.
 
The Rams should've drafted Suh and drafted a 1st round QB after the CBA for financial reasons alone and I remembered saying that at the time. Whatever head coach comes in is now forced to go with Bradford as his QB.

Before the draft last year, while everyone was screaming about Bradford, I was insisting on Suh.

My line of thinking, was some teams are just not ready to draft a QB (I believe larry was the only one to agree with me). The Rams had a bad o-line, bad WR's, and a bad defense. That's a perfect storm to both physically and mentally destory a young QB. The Rams team Bradford was drafted into helped destroy the career of a pretty good veteran Pro Bowl caliber QB (Bulger).

When a team has holes at every position on the field, they need to draft football players, not QB's. Suh is a football player, and he was a sure thing. QB's are NEVER a sure thing. Ever. The Rams could have drafted a QB later in the draft (McCoy) or gotten one later after building a more stable team to surround one with.

People are saying the Rams should draft RGIII, which is even more stupid. Again, this team needs FOOTBALL PLAYERS, it does not need to pay 40-50% of the salary cap on QB's. The Rams need to trade down and acquire as many picks as possible, and get some talent on what is easily the least talented team in the NFL (which has been the case for three years under ***** *********, who failed to increase the talent level with his awful player evaluation).

With all of that said, it's impossible to evaluate Bradford based on 2011. He was playing on a badly injured ankle, with no talent around him, for a terrible coach. Throw it out, it didn't happen.

The Rams will hire a real head coach, a real GM, and finally start acquiring talented football players. Then we will see what Bradford brings to the table. This year goes into the garbage, only the progress of Chris Long can be quantified, the rest was just the result of the incompetent brain trust that will be history tomorrow morning.

A lot of locals have been throwing around the idea of trading Bradford for Luck or Griffin. I want to shake the shit out of them because it's stupid. A shortened off-season with a new offense, the most reliable receiver out of the band of bums he had (Amendola) went down Week 1 and was hobbled most of the year. For all of the chaos he had around him, I felt he did well enough this year.

Adding to this, Bradford, Jackson, and Amendola played a total of two snaps together.

The fact is, for a variety of reasons (mainly fantasy), we live in a STATS world where context doesn't matter. I'm not sure how many people realize just how putrid the Rams have been the last three years. This season is no indication of what Bradford is or will ultimately be. We don't know yet.
 
Sure the Rams have a lot of holes to fill, but get a very good OT in there, keep Bradford healthy for a year (maybe his receivers can do the same) and they're not a bad team.

The Rams are far from just an OT away from "not being a bad team".

-They averaged 11 ppg this year, and have the lowest five year ppg average the NFL has seen since the 1960's.

-They have the worst run defense in the NFL.

-They have the worst 5-year W/L record since 1930.

The 2007-present Rams are arguably the worst team in NFL history. There is no hyperbole in that statement. The win totals are 3, 2, 1, 7, 2.

You really think drafting a tackle is going to change all of that?

Jackson, Amendola, Long, Laurinaitis, Mickell, H.Dahl and maybe Bartell and Stewart. That's all the Rams have.

Bradford is a question mark and Lloyd is a FA. The rest of the starters are either fringe players (Chamberlain, J.Bell, etc) or aging guys who would be backups on almost any other team (James Hall, fat ass Fred Robbins, Al Harris, etc).

The Rams are flat out terrible. Historically terrible. He who shall not be named made it worse, and they need a lot of help to make it better.

Hope the Browns fall in love with RG3 then spin the pick for a bunch of picks which they have. With no Barkley the #2 pick is a lot more valuable.

The Rams aren't going to take another offensive tackle when they have Smith and Saffold.

I guess you can move Saffold inside if you draft a Kalil or something...but the Rams have a lot of needs and I'm not certain that upgrade is going to make the Rams a lot better next year.

They could go with Blackmon and I think it'd make sense. Considering the new rookie wage scale, value kind of goes out the window.

This is what will end up happening though, the new Rams regime will fall in love with a player and take them...probably won't even make much sense, but that is what will happen.
 
He wasn't a bum in '10. Didn't watch much of the Rams this year.

With that said, if he is an injured bum...you gotta make that decision if he's a guy or not...because they got a lot of money invested in him.
 
That number two pick has a lot of value now that Barkley is staying. Teams can't hope RG3 will fall to them. I could see Stephen Ross making some ridiculous trade for the #2 pick.
