No, he didn't fake retirement, sabotage trades, go on Fox News, trying to force his release, in order to sign with a specific team.

What he did was play out his contract, work hard at trying to return from a devastating injury at 36, and get waived.

However, I pretty much agree with bucky. And if he does sign with the Vikings, oh well. He was struggling before the injuries to keep up with WRs. I can't see him doing any better now. At this point, he'll be serviceable at best IMO. He isn't shutting anyone down anymore and really hasn't in a couple years anyway.

If he wants to still play the game, we need a roster spot, and we couldn't get any value in a trade for him (obviously since the trade deadline has passed we can't), then this was the right move to make. And if he wants to sign with a team like the Vikings who are going nowhere this year and will most likely be dismantled next year, thats his prerogative.

Yeah, I saw that whoever did would pick up a base of 2.5 millioin. I'd rather see him play out of conference. But I'd settle with out of division. I dont want to not be able to cheer for him.

I can't believe he isn't a better player than Brandon Underwood or Pat Lee. The #3 corner position was Underwood's to lose in training camp and he lost it to an undrafted rookie. He's garbage. Even worse, he changed his number from 33 to 28, an infamous number if worn by a CB...

He cut Anthony Smith last year to keep Rouse on the roster only to cut him a few weeks later. And lo and behold Anthony Smith is back on the roster.

It's been 3 years dude, let it go. Favre obviously was not as ready for the trash heap as Ted Thompson painted him out to be a few years ago. Both teams are better for it so I'm not sure why you have such venom for the person who brought the Packers from laughing stock to perennial playoff team during his 18 years there.

Sorry, it's not that hard for me to believe that a 36 year old, coming off of a devastating knee injury, the kind that no player has ever come back from, is that much better, or any better than a 24 year old with upside, or a 25ish year old that has shown also to be a good return guy, By the way, both the young guys can and have played well on special teams.

That un-drafted rookie, that has been playing lights out, that Harris couldn't beat out over the last 3 weeks? Harris has been given every opportunity to show where he is at the past 3 weeks. According to Al, he has gotten a lot of reps in practice.

Smith was cut for good reasons. And he is only back on the team because half our safety's were injured and we were desperate at the position. I haven't seen Smith on the field except for limited special teams play. I haven't seen him sniff safety yet.

Every GM has there misses. I can't criticize TT to much since we have a team of the walking wounded and living dead, and still have the depth to be competitive.

I mean, we did play a relatively healthy Minny team, a healthy Jets team and a relatively healthy Cowboys team. I say kudos to the entire team, from organization to coaches to players.

Another 'unpopular' move by TT, but I am certain it'll work out fine just like it always does with TT releasing old players who may have 1-2 years left. Javon Walker, Ahman Green, Mark Colombo, Mile Wahle..There has to be some more..

Not sure Minny is better. The entire team's chemistry has taken a dump. And I give Brett the credit he's due, along with the criticism he's due. But the resurgence had much more to do with Harlan, Wolf, Holmgren.

I actually don't think Harris played poorly in that game. He had fairly good coverage, but Eli was on fire, and Burress was exceptional that game. Sometimes you just have to tip your hat to the opponents and congratulate them.

Agreed.. Not to much you can do when you're playing man to man and the ball gets thrown 20 feet above your head on the money. It's almost impossible to stop.

Al Harris played out of his mind for a couple of years on a team that was desperate for corner help. but let's be honest. he had his flaws. he was a glorified nickel corner. He actually reminds me of Walt Harris on the 9ers... had a couple of good years, but really a guy that on a team with more depth wouldnt be a top 2 corner. the team gave him every shot to show that he still had something left to give, but he doesnt. he's been injured since last year.

I dont care if he goes to Minnesota. the "big win" yesterday came against a god awful Cardinals team, and it was probably better for the team to have lost. lose to the cardinals, can childress, give frazier a shot, and maaaaaybe they could turn it around. instead they have false hope and by the team Green Bay goes to 'Sota they will be done. Harris can't hurt us in anyway, so i wish him luck in milking a few more bucks for a good, not great career.

This excites me and yet terrifies me. He couldn't field a punt to save his life in the preseason. When he does though, he's electric.
