i am referring to both in ncaa. Anyone playing ncaa 10 knows the players are aware of the sidelines and dont allow their momentum to just carry them out of bounds.

i am also referring to the toe drag or players making sure they get 1 foot in bounds.

Do you even read what you type? You said CoD4 was the same as WaW. That couldn't be further from truth. They're not the same game. In fact, its almost the same deal with Madden & NCAA as it is with 4 & WaW.

At their core, they're essentially the same game. But they definitely don't play the same. And thats for both CoD4/WaW AND NCAA/Madden.

I've had NCAA since release from Gamefly. And NEVER have I seen a "toe drag" animation. CPU players do a better job of turning up field when they receive passes near the sidelines.

Challenges in both games are near useless. You have no control over what you are challenging. It just assumes it for you.

Favre, Marino, Elway, Young, Aikman, Montana, Unitas... those were premier QBs of their time.

i agree, but im sure pasta was using the word premier to describe the best in madden and was going beyond the scope of the 2 outstanding player. maybe branching out the the very good to great QB's like rivers, brees, and ryan.....its the only thing i can imagine cause there is no way he thinks ryan is on the same level as manning or brady

What was the average for field goals that bounced off the upright, clearly no good... counting for 3 points. I've seen it 4 times now.

What about the stupid animations DBs do, like backing up even when the receiver makes his cut(in or out)? Have those been eliminated?

It's a step in the right direction, certainly improved, and I'm sure it's playable online, which seems to be what it's all about these days. Maybe next year Ian can focus somewhat on offline franchise and CPU AI, for the few of us retarded people who still enjoy playing it that way. I'm not exactly pleased with Ian's praising of the offline version being so much improved, it would satisfy the majority of us, because the offline version is still the same damn game, where you'll be browsing Operation Sports for two weeks, looking for the right sliders.

I gave Madden 09 a 3 out of 10.

Madden 10 deserves a solid 5 for the improvements they did make. Give this game a competent CPU AI, and it'll reach the 8.5 - 9 mark.

Well, NCAA is another story. Until that team is replaced, that game isn't even worth a rental.

Next year, the game will probably ship without a disc.

I like the game. It's not perfect, but it's good. It needs a lot of work. It's the run blocking that bugs me most. If that's cleared up, I think this game's seriously a winner on virtually all counts.

I'm really upset about the run blocking though. The linebacker bug I outlined on NCAA in the other forum used to be in Madden, and I repeatedly said it needed to be fixed and needed to be fixed soon, but it wasn't until late. I believe very firmly that that bug contributed to the problem with the run blocking. Because it wasn't fixed soon enough, they didn't have time to fix run blocking (the way the linebackers were acting made it very difficult to see faults in the run blocking because every block was successful).
