I don't give a shit. Plenty of QBs, good and bad, put up great numbers with shitty WRs. Jake Plummer threw for 4,500 yards in a season with shitty WRs, he had an old Rod Smith, and no one else! Tom Brady put up good numbers before he got Moss and Welker. Donovan McNabb has never had great WRs either. Hell journeymen QB's like Senaca Wallace, put up a lot better numbers then russell, and Seattle's WR situation was worse the the raiders!
Im proud to say the raiders are not 1 of the 3 teams tied for the most superbowl losses.

I'm proud to say, John Elway was good enough, to make the Broncos the best team in the AFC on a regular basis, despite having no talent to help him out. The Bronco teams in the '80s weren't that good, but John Elway was great, one of the greatest, if not the best QB of all time.

How many games did russell start in while he was a rookie? He wasn't even under conract for most of the season. Both of those QB's were in better situations and you know it.

I don't care if he didn't start his rookie year, he got some playing time and he had the whole year to obsorb the offense and adjust to the NFL.
I don't give two shits if russell and the oakland front office are both fucking retards and couldn't get a deal in place before training camp started. It's not my fault russell was too busy thinking about how many buffets he would be able to buy with all the money he'd make and wasn't worried about signing the deal.
Plenty of QBs have succeeded in the NFL in their rookie season, and plenty of QBs have done great in the NFL without quality receivers. Give a real excuse for jamarcus russell sucking more dick then a porn star.
You don't think he improved towards the end of the year? You're right plenty of QBs have been good their rookie year but at the same time plenty have struggled in their rookie year and went on to be good.
He was learning Kiffin's system when he got fired during the season. So now he's learning a new system all over again.

I would hope a player improves over the course of a season, especially a young player. If he isn't improving he's not trying to become a good NFL player.
