Just couldn't miss out on the game this weekend. Getting to hang out and party for a few days with dozens of friends and family members that are Saints season ticket holders and either seeing Favre go back to the Superbowl or the Saints making it for the first time ever makes it a win win. Thankfully, I was able to use some hotel points for a free room in the CBD and got a good deal on the seats from a friend that is a ticket broker.

As a show of good faith and to get them to allow me into our family's tailgating area on Sunday, I have also promised not to wear any Vikings gear and will be sporting a vintage Brett Favre USM home jersey which is almost an exact replica of the Saints jersey minus the fleur de lis' (remember that the Saints used to hold training camp in Hattiesburg on USM's campus). My wife went and had a long sleeve t-shirt airbrushed with a Saints theme on the front and Favre's name and the #4 on the back since they told her she couldn't wear her old Packers jersey either :laugh:

I got invited to go but I'm too superstitious to watch the game any other way than I have been. In all of the losses I was either at work or on a plane. In EVERY win I was at home in NO Saints gear watching on the 65 inch HDTV

I've been worried about Harvin playing in this game and was worried that he might miss it until I just saw the below on ESPN.com. Looks like Harvin is going to be on the team charter and will be getting here to New Orleans later tonight.

Minnesota Vikings receiver Percy Harvin participated in the team's final practice and meetings Saturday and will travel with his teammates to New Orleans for the NFC Championship Game, sources close to the player told ESPN's Ed Werder.

Bryant McKinnie also tweeted a video interview with Harvin at this locker earlier this afternoon. Looks like he is feeling much better!

Yeah im glad he is playing i really wouldnt want someone to miss a game this big due to something like migrains, but with that said he should be worried about them coming back while in the dome. If he was out all week wouldnt the flare up with all the noise and lights and what not?

Just rolling out of bed this morning. All I can say about the vibe down here in the city is that it is as crazy as I have ever seen and that is saying a lot factoring in years of Lundis Gras and Mardi Gras before the storm, and being at the first playoff win against the Rams. There are a lot more people in purple down here than you might think, the French Quarter was packed with them last night. Not so much at Lafittte's or dba where we ended up late night last night listening to some great live music and doing a few too many shots :laugh:

3AM breakfast at the Clover Grill and back to the room, got some rest and getting ready to head to Cafe Du Monde for some beignets and cafe au lait to get the blood going again and then off to the Superdome to tailgate.

Hoping for a great game today!

There was no doubt in my mind that Minnesota fans would come. Even though they will have their fans the black out > purple guys.
