Sony now has to spend more creative energy protecting against pirates in the PS4. That will likely, like shoe-horned multiplayer, come at the cost of something else. Piracy runs deep and affects many aspects of game design, development, and production, so I just don't get the "Oh well" approach that some gamers have.
