The idea that the players don't have the right to be unified, or are somehow out of line to rally around their situation, is just piling on to people who had nothing to do with this mess. More misplaced angst from the angry mob.

Good for them, I hope those seniors go 12-0. They did absolutely nothing wrong to be put into this mess, and transferring a month before your senior season is about to start is pretty unrealistic.
A creep did something terrible, more creeps covered it up, the school took its hit. What more do you people want? Why are you condemning 21-year olds who just want to make the most of whatever they have left of their careers? They have no reason to feel guilty for anything.

Not only do they have to bear the brunt of this punishment, but they are supposed to answer for said crimes as well. And God forbid they handle things even slightly below the expectations of the angry mob, because that just means those kids haven't learned their lesson. Seniors, juniors, freshman, doesn't matter. They were all put in this situation, weeks before school starts, weeks before the season starts. It's ok for them to be 'pissed off'. I don't think it's too difficult to understand I don't have an issue with the players feeling "pissed off" or jilted or whatever. Even the students or alums. It's the direction of the "pissed off" that I am/would be taking issue with. What I find "boorish" is your inability to see that.
