That's really it. If you want to credit someone and say things about someone when things are good, those have to pop up when things go bad as well. He can't just be a molder of men when it's positive, he also in a lot of ways molded those players whose complaince issues he covered up and molded Sandusky to have free reign.

These sort of phrases and this posturing of Paterno as anything more than a football coach that won a lot of football games is why this situation occurred.

If there's one thing I can't stand in this world it's hypocrites and that's what was personified by the actions of Penn State University in this scandal.

Do as I say and not as I do.

I don't think you understand how much it destroys someone mentally to get raped by a grown man numerous times. Fuck how this affects Penn State's recruiting. The fact that there's this much rage from you shows exactly how this whole thing happened. Football should not be greater than life.
 
I was on vacation while most of this went down so I couldn't really see the reactions but it's pretty sickening how much people care about JoePa's records, football bowl games, recruiting issues, etc. It's all the more justification for the NCAA and this ruling in my opinion.

The worse part is them acting like they are heroes, because they want to stay at PSU.......good for you, but lets not pretend as if you are victims either. Before the sanctions people in this thread warned of PSU players, students and alumni acting as if they were ostracized or oppressed, which would cause them to have a feeling of comradely.......SMH....its disgusting. Due to the zeal of it all I expect the players, students and alumni to support the program, but as they continue to lose the support will fade away.

There really isn't much more that needs to be discussed.......the school harbored a child molester, those involved are dead and/or are in jail, the school got sanctioned.....and right fully so. BTW, at VSN we can discuss stuff seriously and still have goofy stuff mixed in.......stop being so serious.
