Sounds like the uga rivals board, they think we are going to get a good amount of the current PSU players just because the new UGA S&C coach has PSU ties. Also the fact that we only have 68 players on scholarship.

Penn State just got as close to the death penalty as the NCAA will give in this new era of nationally televised football.

Just summing up twitter talk, but according to Penn State's prez Erikson, they would've faced the death penalty if they hadn't simply accepted the charges. Up to 4 years w/o football was on the table.

I think it should have been 2 years without football. That was really the only thing that would change the whole culture down in happy valley. The fact that they are still playing football on Saturdays makes me cringe. I will not tune into any penn state games that are shown on TV for sure.

Yeah I forgot about the Golden issue,ok some wins will be vacated(yawn) 3 year probation, limited scholarships,2 year bowl ban. Any punishment worse than that is unjust unless some more dirt (SMU style) is dug up.

No, they have 4 years off but, with the "talent" they add the next four years they, won't make a bowl, probably for at least 10 years.

You can pretty much forget every recruit on your 2013 commitment list...I doubt any of them will be there by February.

Hackenberg did all but decommit last night. Adam Brenerman has denied decommitting, but you can expect that any time now. Garrett Rickels is on his way out.

Breneman, Brendan Mahon (4-star OT) and Dorian Johnson (4-star OT) are among the few that already said they're sticking with PSU. Obviously things can and will change, but who knows...they can stick to their guns, right? :shifty:

Miami should get a much stiffer penalty than USC. The Canes scandal involved a ton of players and coaches, USC's really involved just one football player (Bush) and one basketball player (Mayo).

Whoever said it, whether it was here, or possibly somewhere else...Miami will get the ol USC-like booty pickle, but mostly because of the story produced, not potentially what the NCAA could necessarily prove.

Either way, Miami took a bowl ban last year...I assume they will take a bowl ban this year (two really shitty bowls, Miami isn't going to be a great team this year)...I am hoping to expect a similar-to-USC like turn around from potential sanctions where the brunt of the sanctions is split in half. But, we shall see...a lot of the shit Robinson has published has been crap...I mean, he had some pretty damning things on the likes of Ray Ray Armstrong and Olivier Vernon and the end result was a couple games suspensions for those guys after the NCAA looked into their stories. Former players testimonies are a lot harder to corroborate...the whole thing is taking a ridiculous amount of time to actually go through, which leads me to believe shit wasn't so obvious, especially considering Miami has been more than willing to assist the NCAA in the investigation.

This all exemplifies what was so unprecedented about the swiftness of the Penn State ruling. Emmert used the Freeh report as law, instead of conducted an independent NCAA investigation as they always have before. Can you imaging how long it would have taken the NCAA watchdogs to piece all this together? It took them 5 years just to prove Reggie Bush got a free townhouse and Escalade.
