Really liking this game so far...

Now, granted, I've only played one game, LOL. I haven't purchased a NCAA football game in three years I think? I'm digging it so far. The game play seems solid, if not very similar to Madden last year. But it's the little things that stand out. The animationn seems to be much better. Activity on the sidelines. Dancing with the Terrapin in teh end zone after a TD was sweet.

Now if I could only keep Darel Scott from getting injured every other play. LOL. Which actually brings me to another cool feature. I like how when a player gets a minor injury you get the option of sending him back in at the risk of reaggravating the injury. I chose to send him back in and sure enough, the next quarter, done for the game. Pretty cool in my opinion.

Ive played that and it sent me running back to ncaa. I really do not like the madden gameplay from what ive played. i know ill play madden most of the year just because of the community and the competition though. Its hard to find guys around here to play NCAA as it is right now 2 weeks after release.

I do really enjoy the Madden demo but I'll enjoying this game.

My one complaint right now, and it is really minor, is wtf did they switch the circle and triangle (B and Y on 360) buttons on the play call screens? Man that shit pisses me off. I've been pressing triangle to back out of menus for as long as I can remember. They did the same thing in Madden. I also can't tell you how many times I've chosen the triangle play call thinking I'm backing out of the screen,

The more I play this game the more I love it. I had all the intentions of trading it in when Madden came out but not now.

I just won my last three ACC matchups and they were all great games. My last one, I froze the CPU kicker (Virginia) and they missed what would've been a game winning FG. There was only 1 second left so I just went for the Hail Mary. I pump faked to my receiver on the left sideline and the corner bit. My guy was streaking down the sideline wide open and I hit him in stride. 70 yards later...TD! Game over!

how do u freeze the kicker? i had 1 chance to use it and i had no clue how to do it

i love how pump fake is set to the RS. u can just flick it in the fake direction u want instead of holding a button and moving the LS at the same time like madden.....

i havnt played a game of ncaa since friday and popped it in this morning. Such a far supieror game in so many ways. I regret buying madden....well it only cost me 9 bucks and 2 trade ins....but still....not even close to the fun you have with ncaa

You just call a timeout with a few seconds left. I think it works prior to halftime also. The camera view goes down to a field view and you can hear the kickers heartbeat. Plus the kick is in slow motion. I think they started that feature in Madden a few years back. At least it was on the PS2 version.

Yeah, I love the pump fake too. Getting someone to bit like I did was just beautiful to watch.

I just had a heartbreaking game vs USC as ND. I lost 38-35. I just couldn't stop them. Almost every one of their scores were long plays for TD's. My scores were almost all long drives.

They were breaking tackles left and right and their o-line was just pancaking my defense all over the field.

But I should expect that from the #2 team in the country.

Maybe I just really suck but this game is hard. I'm only playing on Varisty. That's right, Varsity. I've played on All-American/All-Pro for as long as I can remember. But I just can't run the ball in this game. Even on Varsity I'm lucky if I average a little less than 4.0 yards a carry, which is pretty weak in College ball. Passing is too easy but running is a bitch.

And then there are still some games where the computer is just a joke, even on Varsity. I was just playing against NC State and it was a good game all the way through. The computer made a few b.s. plays to go ahead. I finally go back up and then it was total domination. Every time I hiked the ball the defense was in my face either causing a lame duck pass or I was getting sacked.

Frustrating.
