As a fan speaking purely from the entertainment junkie within, I think it would be so cool to get an intimate glimpse of my favorite football team preparing for the long battle ahead where victory can lie in the decision to keep the rookie safety who fell to the 5th round or the veteran LG from Purdue playing for a family and a kid with no legs. And to be able to witness on television the painstaking decision process between coaches and GMs and the sort on a potentially season saving/family destroying transaction is riveting.

Yeah, yeah, if I'm coach Jim Harbaugh I'm not going to want any of it. I'm the head coach. I say that. I'm wise and the wise thing to say is no to any form of distraction to my team...

Eh. Fuck it. I'm Acesuper. I want to be entertained. I love my teams with all my heart and desire for them to play hard and for championships every year. Distractions suck. Yada, yada. But I'm a fucking FAN. I love drama. I want a deeper look at my team.

Hell, more cameras, train harder. More cameras, more expectations. So train harder. More cameras, more money. So train harder.

Make these millionaires earn it. And if a little off season documentary fucks you up, then fuck you, you were never meant to be Champions.

I don't understand why it's limited to 1 team. Do multiple teams, and do it year round. You could have teams limit certain information and others who just arent that interesting make their appearance when they do something work talking about. I always get bored of Hard Knocks by episode 4 or 5 because I know its ending soon and most of the people I have just now started caring about are going to head into the season and do nothing. Prolong that, = $$$

Production budget. HBO shoots footage for a few days, edits it in two, and airs it on the next day. It'd be very costly both with equipment and manpower to do that for multiple teams.

That is pretty much what the behind the scenes stuff on "Inside the NFL" is like. Sucks it is no longer on HBO though (especially since I just canceled Showtime )

The best part of watching Hard Knocks, at least IMO, is getting into the battles for the last roster spot. They give you one or two underdogs to cheer for, and that's basically where the emotional investment in the show comes from. Everything else with me is just marveling at the production quality and the soothing sounds of Liev's golden pipes.
