Don't think there out yet. I saw in account management theres a section for premium avatars. Prolly will come out thursday along with the draft combine I guess?

I think they updated the store.I know I didn't check the store this past Thursday to see what was in there.Dirt 2 Demo,NHL 10 Demo are available,but like I said I don't know if im late or not on that ahah.
 
Yeah all those things you mentioned have been there since last thursday cept the Little Big Planet $3 animated theme.

Big fonts look fine in 1080p

So...3.0 has just made it a lot easier for me to buy more shit, but we get a nice box in the top right corner showing how many friends online, and any unread messages.

Nothing that people really asked for.

Multi-Audio - Audio can now be output to multiple connectors simultaneously. You can set this option under [Settings] > [Sound Settings] > [Audio Multi Output].
Video Content Playback - During Video content playback, you can now use the right stick to play content in slow playback, fast reverse, and fast forward.

Custom Remote Play Settings - Manually set a device (such as a PSP system) to be used for remote play.
New Avatar Support - Support for future additions of PSN avatars has been added. No new avatars have been added along with the firmware. However the support is there.

“What’s New” – The “Information Board” will be replaced with a “What’s New” section, which allows you to enjoy interactive PlayStation news every time you start the PS3 system. Located under the PlayStation Network icon, “What’s New” displays the latest and greatest game, video, PlayStation Network and PlayStation news and releases, as well as your recently played games, in a sleek, new animated format.
Status Indicator – In the top right corner we’ve added an indicator bar, which displays your user icon, friend icon, the number of friends you have online and a small message icon to let you know if you have any new messages. Trophies – Showcasing your hard earned trophies just got better. Update 3.00 gives game developers the ability to modify how they display trophies for add-on content. Base and add-on game trophies will continue to be combined into a single list so you can see where you stand in a game as a whole. Within that list, trophies will be broken out into subcategories—base trophies and add-on trophies—that way, you can easily view the percentage of your base game trophy collection, and separately track your trophy progress in add-on packs. Look for this enhancement to be included in upcoming games.

My friend @ EA said that you have a Japanese PSN Account you can get a free Afrika Theme and it is pretty cool, I see nothing new or cool about this update at all. They need to do something with Life with Playstation and make it better.

IDK it's just a game system. It doesn't ruin my life or upset me enough to waste time whining about it is what I'm saying. I also don't know about ya'll but when I 1st had my PS3 it had nothing at all. No in-game XMB. It didn't even have a PSN tab. A lot of people I guess don't realize they don't HAVE to update the system. That is something they are doing for their followers.
 
This would have been the perfect opportunity for Sony to have included mkv container support for full DIVX 7.0 certification and make a little jump ahead of the 360 for media capability. This 3.0 update = fail.

Very true, but its funny how ppl over react and seriously act like their dislike of this really matters. A lot of it isn't even warranted. "Wahh the font is bigger" "Oh noes!!!!".They also act like other people care that they don't like it. I personally enjoy any addition made to the PS3 including this one.

The 360 is down to ONE update a year. Sony release a new update every few months. And what was so great about this last update? The upgrade to Netflix was solid but what else? The avatar store? They can go fuck themslves.

I do agree with this however. any 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, etc update should be significant. Maybe this one is but I'm mot a big tech guy so I can't read all of that gibberish and figure out what exactly this thing includes.
