Vick had his best year overall of his career in terms of both passing (20 TDs/13 INTs) and rushing (1000+ yards) the last year that he played in the league.

Anyone who doesn't think Vick at his best is a top 10 QB is kidding themselves. Despite what people say he was a serviceable QB and a possesses a higher win % than Drew Brees or Jay Cutler.

Not going to get into a multipage argument about this, but I think it is laughable that people think Vick should change positions. Anyone who has the arm that he has should be behind center. His arm is arguably as NFL elite as his feet. Only thing he was lacking was accuracy, and that is coachable. Let's not forget he had Greg "I Will Get My Head Coach Fired" Knapp as his coordinator.

With decent coaching, there might still be some productivity left to be salvaged from Mike Vick. Must I mention he can literally throw while running.

While I'll agree, I'll also say that the term "NFL Arm" usually refers to a guy who can "make all the throws"

Why would you play a guy at RB/WR when he can routinely throw the ball 70 yards? It's not like he was atrocious as a passer, just merely average. With proper coaching he could squeeze into "above average" territory as a passer with elite speed and arm strength.

when your comp % never hits 60% after 5 years, you're still a project

vick never showed signs of advancing his skill set, he actually regressed for a couple years after his first full season of play

You can't compare Vick to those stiffs, because Vick brought more to the table than just his arm.
Vick was unique.
Admittedly, he was no Steve Young completion percentage-wise, but he was unique, brought people to the Georgia Dome, sold a ton of jerseys, etc...

Too compare Vick to those guys is an injustice.

IMO, the biggest issue Vick faced during his playing days was coaches trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

Clearly, he's never gonna be one of those 65% guys ... but he can win you games if you take advantage of his unique skillset.

Can he still do that? Of course no one is 100% sure, but I am damn sure QB is the only position where he can make a successful return to the NFL.

It's funny though how so many people dump wins and losses on a QB's shoulders, the QB has the most impact of any player on the field to change the outcome of the game...

I agree completely with dave, who gives a fuck if vick is a mid 50% completion, who cares? honestly, he brings unique skills to the game that don't correlate with the passing game stats, I will take 1000 rushing yards over 5% better accuracy...

Vick's last season he avg. 220 YPG total, 1.37 TDPG, and .25 FumPG comparing that to last season's players...

There are some pretty big name QBs, obviously will all know vick isn't the best, no one has ever argued he is the best QB... but when you throw those numbers out how can you argue he is one of the worst or below avg..

Let's just say that as a passer, Vick was in the 2nd half of the league starters, but if you take into account his running game, that has him going AT LEAST in the first half.
