I think a few of you are forgetting one very very important thing when it comes to Mike Vick. But I won't go into further detail. I'll just wait and say I told you so later in the season.

Ironically that one very very important thing is the only reason he has fans and was rated as highly as he was in Atlanta, even though his greatest achievement was beating an 8-8 Rams team.

Anything comparing the Michael Vick of ATL to the Michael Vick currently playing for the Philadelphia Eagles is clearly retarded and speaking out of there ass and haven't watched any of the past few games.

The old Michael Vick when the pocket collapses would have done one of two things:

-Try to run east and west and create a play out of nothing without thinking twice
-Throw a completely retarded pass that would result in a turnover more times than not

The new Michael Vick stays in the pocket basically as long as possible, and throws a bullet pass to an OPEN receiver, or just eats it. Of course if there's green in front of him he'll take off, but that's not his first instinct anymore.

He's become more mature off the field, on the field, and in the locker room. You couldn't ever say that in ATL at any point in time after a season full of question marks.

I think its funny that people are now saying "Vick hasn't played anyone" as a way to detract from his success. No one is saying he should be mentioned among the likes of Manning, Brady, Brees, etc, but he has played very well. Given his circumstances of being in jail two years ago to him having the success that he's had I don't see how anyone couldn't be the least bit impressed. The guy was out of the league two years ago, everyone said he lost it, and he was a backup to the backup and he's now having success leading a team. Just given him credit for playing well....it won't hurt you. Even if he were to struggle against a better defense (which most QB's would) doesn't take away from his successes up until that point.

I'm not saying he is a better passer....just he's played good overall football and has won games. As I mentioned a part of the story is that the guy was out of the league and people shouldn't lose sight of that. This is a league where we see some horrible QB play from guys who've been in systems for years, yet Vick comes and in 2 years is successfuly leading a team. People shouldn't let people's praise for his success cause them to become such "Debbie Downers".

"People around the league". Like who? I haven't heard anyone calling him an MVP candidate. I've heard everyone praise him to get back to this point from where he was just 2 years ago, but no one saying he's on par with the best in the league at this point.

I think he's done stupendous. I think he's much better than he was in ATL. I think he has better weapons, better coaching, and he's grown up. I also think we'll need to see him against someone better, but he's done much more than was expected of him. For that, I'm proud of him, and I appreciate that.

I'm not impressed at all so far. He's 6/7. The 6 completions: The 3 yard pass where he rolled to the left and hit Avant for 3 yards, 2 screens to McCoy, the checkdown to Schmitt, the pass to schmitt in the left flats, the angle route to McCoy... Thats all 6. He doesn't have a completion throwing the ball farther than 5 yards downfield. My boy brucey could duplicate this performance blindfolded.
