That was all changed in a matter of seconds when Hank Baskett made a huge touchdown reception to put the Eagles ahead of the Colts with just 27 seconds remaining, eventually winning Super Bowl XLIV for Philadelphia.

Baskett's catch shown above is very comparible to that of David Tyree's, who made a nearly impossible reception against his helmet to help his New york Giants defeat the then undefeated New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Judging by degree of difficulty, Tyree's takes the cake. Baskett didn't have a defender within ten yards of him, while Tyree was surrounded by Patriots. However, Baskett's catch showed more importance, as it directly won the Super Bowl for the Eagles, while Tyree's catch left the Giants with some unfinished business.

The verdict: One can't be taken over the other. Both catches were clutch plays, and the receiver's teams wouldn't have won the big game without them.​
