Super Bowl XLVIII: Seattle Seahawks vs Denver Broncos

the problem for Seattle is their offense is weak. Denver has a terrible passing defense, but seattle wont be able to take advantage of it. The only way this is a good, close game is if their is snowfall during the game.

Denver wins this by 2 or more TD's in a game that is a snoozer

Percy Harvin is back, which will help the passing game. And if it is cold (it will be) and snows (it could very well happen), that favors the Seahawks who have an elite defense and the ability to grind clock and run the ball with Lynch.

Game is going to be close. Again, the Seahawks haven't been defeated by double digits in 3 years.

I do too, outside of Sherman, Seattle still has plenty of above-average cornerbacks and the cold weather might affect Denver's passing game even more. The game will probably be won on the ground.

Seahawks pass defense is even better in a time when passing offenses are really going off. Extremely impressive pass defensive stats even after losing Brandon Browner. The run defenses are pretty much on par too.

Pretty good comparison except Rex Grossman is head and shoulders worse than Russell Wilson. Russell Wilson has a better running game while also throwing the ball less. Rex Grossman had a noodle arm with a fuck it chuck it mentality which is absolutely retarded. I remember that floater he threw deep in the Superbowl that was intercepted - ugliest throw ever. Weather was rainy that game and the weather will obviously be a factor once again.

One thing that should be true - this Superbowl will be a lot more exciting than that one. The most exciting play of that game was the opening kickoff. Rest of the game was pretty boring.

Not trying to come at anyones neck but I do wanna say one thing - I remember one poster saying one time he doesn't even pretend to know anything about football when it comes to predicting. In football there are so many variables and so many moving parts it's impossible to predict how a game will turn out. Some of you are speaking like you can look into the future with how you are speaking with absolute certainty on some of these things. Football is unpredictable.

The Bears win that game with a QB that protects the ball too.

Aside from the first play of the game, Russell has done an incredible job protecting the ball.

This MAY have been a slight advantage if New England made it.. because I'm sure Pats fans would have packed that stadium.. but crowd is going to be pretty neutral for this.. neither fan base is going to pack that stadium more than the other.

What hype? They have a grade A defense and a very good run game. They should be favorites, -3 is about right.
