Super Bowl XLVIII: Seattle Seahawks vs Denver Broncos

The more I analyze this game the more I think, low total, TD or less between the teams, but that isn't necessarily indicative of who will win. I suspect Denver won't score a lot of points, I know Seattle will be able to run the ball to some extent, I doubt there will be many turnovers, so the deciding factor is whether or not Wilson can make a few key throws and get an extra TD on the board.

I am beginning to lean towards Seattle, but I am holding out for a 3.

I had a smirk on my face for most of that post and then :dead: at "Who has a better game Sherman or Decker!?"

I think Decker will have the same, if not MORE receiving yards than Sherman. Crazy, I know, but I have a hunch.

no, what it usually does is expose a weakness even more and the truth in the number crunching.

Denver is experienced ,primed and ready. Seattle is going to have to play the game of their life to have any hope of winning.

they can by all means possibly do that but they aren't the favorites by any stretch of the imagination.
 
This Super Bowl matchup kinda reminds me of the Cards/Steelers and Packers/Steelers super bowls.

Offense vs. Defense. Pittsburgh beat 1 potential hall of famer (Warner) and lost to 1 (Rodgers) on the final drive of each game.

The problem with the Cardinals, if I remember correctly, is that there defense was atrocious. The Packers actually had a pretty good defense that season.

It really depends on what Denver D shows up. If they can shut down Lynch, I can't see the Seahawks winning.

At the same time, if Manning has trouble moving the ball early on it could spell trouble for the Broncos run D if they don't get enough time to rest.

Big Ben's stats that year: 3,200 yards, 17 touchdowns, 5 interceptions, 97 passer rating, 176 rushing yards, 1 td.

Russel Wilsons stats this year: 3,357 yards, 26 TDs, 9 INTs, 101.2 passer rating, 539 rushing yards, 1 TD.

Mendenhall that year: 1273 yards, 13 TDs.

Lynch this year: 1257 yards, 12 TDs.

Thanks for that useless piece of info. Those stats are irrelevant because they entirely dictated by matchup and what the opponent is doing to keep up. they tell little about either teams offensive or defensive tendencies.

but you have to look at it in context. Roeth was a hell of a lot better QB by than and could make reads and audibles, and reactions that Wilson cant yet. And they are facing an offense that is leaps and bounds better than the competition of your comparisons.

this game is closer to Steelers vs Rams of 79, or last years SB or SB 40 or 41 or SB 33 for that matter

Denver lost no fumbles in the postseason? Thats definitely a massive difference in only two games played and 5 fumbles is kind of ridiculous over a 2 game span. If Seattle takes care of the ball the way they have these last 2 games and give Denver short fields then they probably will lose. And again, this game more than likely will be played in the elements which definitely wouldn't help Seattle's cause in the fumbling department.
