And if you bought a PS2 the only way you can play PS3 games is with a PS3. New stuff comes out that sometimes makes your old stuff obsolete. You still have the same game, if you want the additional characters, you can either buy the updated version (and with Capcom fighting games they are usually more than just more characters), or not. Just because a person buys MvC3 day one doesn't mean they're automatically entitled to everything related to the series after that. Now, in this case it's been a bit quicker with the release than usual, but still, no one is getting screwed.

heres what i find funny ni all this. You keep saying you'd rather buy the re-release because they add 12 or so characters and shit and at $5 a fighter for DLC you end up saving money, but dont you think $5 for a fucking fighter is overpriced?

What Capcom should do is offer all the updates in the re-release for $15 because the consumer already bought the game. When they re-release the game for $40 its not because the DLC its because your getting the game and the DLC. They essentially fuck the consumer for buying the game on release day.

Who is "You" in this sense? Is it lil ole me? 5 dollars for a new fighter is overpriced, sure, but I don't see that ever changing.

And I'll believe i'm fucked for buying the game on release date when I don't spend a considerable amount of time in these games..

And when did these "updated" versions mean that the old version was completely obsolete to 100% of the demographic? The first version is for everyone, but then the next iterations of it and whatnot really aren't. The people who pay for it generally know what they are getting.

Jesus you're obtuse sometimes. The concept is the same. No one is FORCING you to do anything. MvC3 works the exact same way as it always did and has and WILL have a huge group of people still playing it even after the "new" one comes out. Now, you won't have access to those characters, but oh well. This is like people bitching about first day DLC.

I feel raped because not only did the price get bumped up when they added old maps, but then they continued on with it. They added the $5 simply because they could, which is fucking bullshit. Homefront is where its at, the map packs were $3 and $5 respectively.

Cap com is not offering a DLC version of UMVC which is BS for the consumer. Good thing I waited, I can buy the better version for $20 less within 9 months of release.

There's a reason why I'm waiting for the Fallout: NV collection and the Dragon Age 2 collection.

I'm too damn cheap to put in on single piece DLC when I can what until the Holidays for every bit of a game at $60.

I sampled all the Humble Bundle games, like them considering what I paid :shifty:

Hammerfight is good, easily the most creative of the group.

Crayon Physics is a flash game port if I remember correctly and I have no interest in it.

And Yet it Moves is my favorite of the group. Pretty much the same idea as VVVVVV but much different style and less hardcore.

VVVVVV is fun but really, really hard.

Cogs is a solid puzzler that I enjoy but SUCK at. Bad.

Pulled a Twigg and splurged on the last "Collector's" copy of Catherine in my city.

Came with the game, a CD of the game's music and some instrumentals, and an artbook with commentary of those who worked on the game.

I feel dirty in more ways than one. :shifty:

You had to preorder to get that edition ("Love is Over" I think it's called; comes with a shirt and pillowcase too :runaway.

I just got the art book and the CD.

There's little known about it other than those who got a review copy and the few scant fans who got a hold of the game...

Atlus apparently did a limited release.

...as for the dating simulator, it's not; you watch a couple cut scenes and do block puzzles for in-game prizes and talk to people.

That's it.

Again, hard ass puzzle block challenges by Atlus, a company notorious for make shit balls hard.

Now I won't defend the game to the fullest because I haven't even beaten the 8 levels of the first stage (there's 8 stages, each with Boss Fights) but considering every game you've ever mentioned has been a shooter, Madden/NCAA or a platformer, I can say you have a limited world view on gaming.

Which is funny because you buy any game out there if it's cheap or adds to a collection of stuff you couldn't resell at a garage sale.
