They had an interesting idea where you can customize the combos to deal more damage, refill health, refill your special meter, or a mix of the three, but there are only four combo templates total without buying additional ones as DLC (typical Capcom I guess). On top of that, you're rarely able to carry combos over to different enemies which forces you to rely on three and four hit combos and makes the combat feel disjointed. It just doesn't flow well compared to what you'd expect if you played any of the Arkham games or Sleeping Dogs, and it gets really repetitive and old quickly. The final boss just really reminds me of its shortcomings in the worst way possible.
 
The twitch interaction in Dead Nation is awesome. You vote for a positive or negative thing to happen in game and the zombies that show up have the names of the people who are participating and watching the stream.

As amazingly awesome as Stick of Truth is, I'm still planning on beating the new episode of Walking Dead once I get home from work before continuing where I left off on South Park... :shifty:
 
I was finally able to re-up my Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked today. I never got the coupon last fall and they were all of a sudden checking if people were eligible or not last week. So I went through the Best Buy forums. They sent me the email today for the 2 years/$30 deal. Hooray! 20% off new games for 2 years is going to be fantastic. And while I was there I went ahead and pre-ordered inFamous from them.

So, my replacement AC adapter finally came, and as I had been really itching to play some Binding of Isaac, I booted it up...and proceeded to have three of the best games I've ever played. Beat Mom's Heart for the 8th and 9th times, and instead of getting ending 10, tried to take out Satan. I came within a sliver of his final forms power from knocking him off.

God damn this game is good, but coming that close just crushed my soul a little.
 
How have NONE of you assholes played the newest episode of Walking Dead still!?!?! It's a gotdamn outrage! The greatest episode Telltale has released to date and none of you have experienced it. :smh:

I started playing Dark Souls on PC. Looks fantastic with DSfix. The downside is that I'm playing with a 360 controller with a spotty B button, and it's decided to not work at the worst times against the Taurus Demon. Five humanity and over 7k souls just building up. I might have to install some software to use my PS3 controllers again.

What OS do you use pad? I tried FOREVER to get Dark Souls to work with DSfix on Windows 8, and it would just crash every time, no matter what I did. I haven't tried it with 8.1 yet, so maybe that will be the magic touch. Honestly though, the game ran fine for me without it, although not quite as pretty as I'm sure it would with it.

Still, it runs 1,000x better than the 360 copy, which hits single digit framerates sometimes, I swear.

I'm using Windows 7, and it took me a couple of tries configuring DSfix to get it working well. The visual improvement is pretty impressive though. Clear textures and much improved lighting effects.

Hopefully From Software follows through, and Dark Souls II has this stuff built in on the PC version.
 
After playing Stick of Truth and Walking Dead so much recently going back to the ps4 controller just feels like going home. If it wasn't for the obnoxious blue light on the controller I'd consider it the single greatest controller of all time.
