The fact that players had success with Shaq as far as winning goes =/= easier to drive to the basket. Shaq makes it harder to drive to the basket, any way you look at it. He keeps his defender in the paint area, which will only logically make it harder.

Putting people in the paint would make it harder for anyone to drive, you're right. If that defender leaves Shaq? Easy pass. If he sticks with Shaq it's going to be someone else collapsing to help a driving LeBron. These two are going to fit better together than most people think.

The only thing Andy is finishing down low is a flop. Over paid and a huge question mark on this team. I like Andy and the fact the Cavs resigned him but what they resigned him for? Highly unjustifiable.

I'm really starting to believe that the signings of Andy, Jamario Moon, Shaq, etc. Is the Cavaliers trying to cash in on a match-up problems. Assuming that any combination the Cavs put on the court CAN cause a match-up problem. At first it looked like Danny Ferry was going to put together a machine in Cleveland.

Now it looks like everyone else made the good moves and the Cavaliers are reaching, hoping to catch lightening. While it's hard to improve the best team (record wise) the Cavaliers managed to do it. However, so did L.A., Boston, and Orlando.

Boston - Got Sheed and will lose either Baby or Powe - solid improvement
Orlando - Lost Rafer, Turk, and Lee, gained VC and Bass - small regression
Cleveland - Lost Sasha, Ben, and Kinsey (lawlz) for Shaq, Parker, and Moon - how can you say this isnt the biggest improvement? Look what we gave up for what we got!

Parker and Shaq were solid acquisitions.. but a lot of teams have made big improvements this off-season (Mavs and Raptors included).

Lol @ the Magic regressing this off-season.. you ignored the small moves they made like Matt Barnes, Ryan Anderson, and CJ Watson, aswell. 1 through 12 the Magic might be the most rounded team in the entire NBA.

And if you think Ron Artest is only a small improvement over Trevor Ariza you're going to be in for a rude awakening when the Cavs meet the Lakers and Kobe doesnt have to focus on guarding LeBron..

The teams that made the best improvements IMO are ones that will not be contending for a title...one of them being the Pistons.

Boston, Cleveland and Orlando all made moves but none of them are a clear favorite to come out of the east to lose to the Lakers in the Finals.

Cleveland - one shot deal with Shaq because I seriously doubt he will be with us after this year. I'm more concerned with how we'll look after this season. Shaq will be gone and Z will be older and Andy is not the answer at PF that we need.

Boston - they're pissin Big Baby off and all but shitted on Powe after all he has done for them. Wallace has some big shoes to fill.

Orlando - I'm still not sold on their moves...that VC move is a better move for NBA2k/Live players IMO. LOL

Lakers made the best move by resigning Odom and getting Artest...that's just crazy!

is it cause hes injury prone? (often something people say about VC alot) - has played in atleast 76 games per season since 04-05, and the year before that played 73.

alot of people have said the magic are gonna miss hedos clutchness at the end of games, when if you look at the numbers, vince is actually better in late game situations. VC has made the 2nd most game winning shots since 03-04 behind Lebron.

The "shit" quote was not directed at you...it was from other things that I read on here. Orlando ran a nice system last year with the players that they had. I'm just wondering if Vince can put up the same numbers as he did with the Nets. Orlando had many options last year where as the Nets had 2...him and Harris....so of course he would have good numbers. Years ago when it was VC, RJ and Kidd runnin the show in NJ...they still couldn't get pass the first round. I think they gave up too much for him...given the opportunity, I think Lee could bring them the same numbers as VC would.

What? Vince is not going to put up the same numbers as he did in NJ...sure he's capable but Orlando has other options. Howard, Lewis, Petrius and Nelson...all those players will average in double figures (as well as VC)...given the same minutes as Vince, he would put up the same type numbers...he showed that in the playoffs.
