[ALL] The Gaming Funk?

Anybody else in the gaming funk? I am close to just selling off my 360 and all my games/accessories because I am not feeling it anymore. Whenever I sit down to play, I just think there is so much more shit I could be doing as opposed to losing as the Bears in Madden.

I tried to start a season in Madden/NCAA/NBA2k, etc. Nothing would really stick, I would play a game and then just turn it off and not save. Anybody have suggestions or should I just stick it out and wait for the next big shooter to come out?

for the money you will get it is not worth selling everything off. Something might drop that might get you back into it.

Otherwise you are growing out of video games and becoming a reality TV watcher.

there is your problem and solution. Sports games. They Suck! Im serious. The sports genre is total crap because the game never changes. sure they add some new features and hype some new killer option, and these games are probably playing better then they did before (except the nfl games). But when it comes down to it, the sport you play has not changed and the experience you see and feel from a real game has not and will not be captured for the systems.

i basically gave up on sports titles after playing them almost exclusively since 92. I suggest hoping on the RPG bandwagon because thats really the only place now to get a fresh feeling game. Sports and Shooters dominate the market today and they are like the Friday the 13th (part 20) of the gaming world

NBA 2K is pretty good thought....but all in all it is still BBall. Pick up a good action game or RPG.....Dragon Age?Mass Effect are good shit.

Pickup games that are worth the cash like Uncharted. Was not a waste of cash to get that game.

Yeah you gotta diversify your gaming. I honestly don't play much either. That's mainly due to not having time to though.

My Gold account is about to run out in November and I've been feeling like this. I rarely play anything and I only play when my friend texts me asking to play BF:BC2 or MW2. I was really pumped for NHL but haven't played that in weeks. I play Football Manager on my computer more than my Xbox. I'm seriously thinking about selling my Xbox off.

My PS3 only gets play time when my friend comes over to play the show and Madden, other then that I do the same thing, keep wanting to do a chise but just get bored. My Wii has beengetting a ton of gameplay time all the old Mario games and shit... Donkey Kong, Goldeneye and the new Zelda coming out im sticking with the Wii... I've thought a lot about getting rid of the PS3 tho.

I was in that phase. Then I came to the conclusion why would I play a sports game when I can do the same thing outside? I'm on the halo wagon right now and I really really enjoy shooters.

FPS > Sports.

I hate reality television....and if there is not a sporting even on at night, why waste my time watching crap television? Soooo Ill play Xbox, except on Thursdays, NBC on Thursdays is still the truth and thats some great entertainment.

I was in one as well until Fifa 11 came out. It just seems every game is way to similar now a days.

Yeah the past two years or so, I've bought a game, played it obsessively for a week and then had absolutely no interest in playing it again. Every time I think about playing I just realize that it is a waste of time. I had been anticipating Fallout New Vegas for over a year now and I'm not even sure if i'm going to pick it up anymore.

Lately me and my suitemates have been playing a round of Mario Party 2 on N64 almost every night. Nostalgia is really the only thing that can keep me interested in gaming anymore. I missed playing with all of your friends in the same room on the same TV. You know how shitty Mario Party would be if it was online?
