I really don't know how much he actually 'made' of that course, since I made a pretty nice one earlier in 2 minutes. I think he placed sand traps and such and maybe reworked the greens.

i did better, but still played like shit. that course was really hard because of the green layout. putting the holes at the top of a mound in a manor of speaking sucks!

i tried to stream the game today but all that showed up was the little start window. weird.

Community Announcements - King Kyne

We're just about to push our latest build. Things to look out for this week are:
* Fix issue where the course creator is stuck on one hole when waypoints are placed on top of each other
* Improvements to club selection on large or shared greens
* Fix for penalty application when exceeding shot limit
* Update help menus for mouse and keyboard controls in the course creator to show buttons for each tool
* Add WASD support for tools (along with the arrows) to scale and rotate brushes and objects
* Improve logic to determine when a tee shot is desirable
* Turn off edge panning when the editor menu is active
* Tweak speed of rotation/movement of the camera in Course Creator for mouse/KB

* The user will now always appear in the Global filter of the leaderboard, regardless if they are in the top-10 or not

* Added notifications for when a friend finishes a round and favourites a course
* Improve notification display logic
* Fix bug where moving the pin to another area changes the hole that pin is associated with
* Improved full-screen handling and screen flickering in windowed mode
* Fix issues with the selection tool in the course creator not being able to find brushes/items when they're overlapped

* Moved course save data out of the registry, fixes lost progress in courses when saving
* Green Grid update. Grid colours now take into account green speeds. This helps course designers judge reasonable pin placements based on green speeds and slope. http://www.gcga.org/documents/speeds_slopes_locations.pdf It also helps players understand any given greens behaviour a bit better when playing.

* It is now possible to take a screenshot when publishing a course with only the keyboard

i wish they would nerf the green speeds a bit...feels like a ice skating rink. also wish they would allow you to select the total club power of the putter. it would be nice if you set it to one thing like 100 as the max. sometimes its 90 or 145....if im on a 15 footer my max power shouldnt be 145

Some courses do have slow greens, according to the course preview menu. I'm not sure how you make them that way when building the course though.

You can move the aiming marker closer or farther away and I think that will change the distance. I don't even look at that, I just do it by distance, slope and feel.

They did move the yardage and +/- height display up out of the way. It no longer is blocked by your player.

This week's update introduces a completely new game mode: Tours and Tournaments. This allows you to create and share your own tours and tournaments and compete with your friends. There is also a completely new course theme - Desert. See below for the full list of build improvements:

• Tours and Tournaments mode added
• Users can create their own tournaments (single location events) or tours (multi-location events) and share them
• Settings/rules can be customized per competition
• Private (friends only) competitions are supported
• Club distance tweaks
• Loft resolution tuning
• Short game shot tweaks (Pitch+Flop)
• Desert course theme
• New official courses: “Yuma Desert Golf Club” and “Sonoran Golf and Country Club”
• New Course Creator Items and Features
• New wildlife (ducks, swans, fox, wolf, chicken, cow, goat, pig, sheep, crocodile)
• New terrain sculpting brushes

Known issues:

• In the details for a published competition it still states 'unpublished' even though it has been published.
• If, when creating a competition, you scroll the cursor too quickly on the event line-up (course thumbnails at bottom of screen) you will lose the cursor. It can be retrieved by saving, selecting add new event and then going back again.
• When you change the name of an event within a tour it displays correctly in the event details to the left but displays as the course name in the event line-up thumbnails.

[h=2]Build Notes v0.70[/h]MAY 30 - HB LORIN
There will be a new Early Access build, version 0.7, available later today. We are primarily focused on bug fixing and optimisation on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at the moment as we prepare the console builds for submission to first party. All bug fixes also apply to the PC build, though, and some console optimisation will also drift across. The big push on PC related performance and compatibility issues will happen once the console submission process is in hand. In the meantime, bug fixes will keep coming.

KEY FIXES AND UPDATES IN v0.70

* New Official Timed Tournament Added - TGC Summer Open is open for 3 days and it involves two rounds of Dr.Yetis’s frankly awesome Haunted Forest C.C. course. Results will be posted on the website next week.

* Hole Overview Camera - The B button (or equivalent) now displays a blimp view of the hole with yardage markers every 50 yards.Now there are no excuses for misjudging that dogleg.

* Rock object collision. - The ball now bounces off rocks, which rocks!

* Improved Text Quality. - The smaller and thinner text was losing its edges. Not now.

* Social Notifications Option - There is now a setting to turn these off should your friends’ superior performances be bothering you.

* Shot Shaper Enhancements - We have improved the clarity of the gauge and also added the display of ranges on the grid. Remember that the impact on distance of a loft adjustment can go up or down.

* GPU Performance improvements. - As noted above, some of the console optimisation is beneficial for the PC build. We love our children separately, but equally.

* Vsync Display setting added. - The big question in PC gaming has been Vsync On or Vsync Off? Now you can play that game in The Golf Club. Turning it on will lock your game at 30fps or 60fps.

* Tour Leaderboard fixes. - Now there is no claiming that you were pushed out of first place by a leaderboard bug.

* Tour settings fixes. - No more tournaments played without the intended settings but Direwolves are still available.

* Added ability to remove ball tracers in the Display Settings

*Boring sounding things:
-Fixed null reference exceptions in course creator when exiting the place way-point tool.
-Fixed camera going out of focus and updating only the UI when sometimes entering the course creator on a new course.



Plus other minor fixes, polishing and tidying.
