i didnt get destroyed... lol. i voiced and opinion and i even stated it as such. this clown warner2bruce brought the insults into the picture, i just repsonded in a way he could understand. i expect to hear the other side of things i post articles about, that is why i post them for discussion. my point was and is that this action by goodell could be, and is by some, percieved as piling on and could be damaging to the league in the end especially being as the negotiations for the new CBA are forthcoming.
to think that when i post an article like that my opinion will be boss and no one would disagree with me would not only be arrogant but down right stupid.
Your opinion is horrible though, lol. It's something I would expect from a little kid who just wants to see Vick play again right away. To think that he doesn't deserve every little thing he's getting is just plain ignorant. Actually, he doesn't even deserve what he is getting, if anything Goodell is being way too easy on him.
Picture me in my FedEx uniform (just so everyone recognizes I am a FedEx worker, as everyone knows Vick is in the NFL) and I'm out in my backyard, just enjoying the nice sunny weather on a Saturday afternoon. I got a cold beer, flipping some hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill, electrocuting some pit bulls, just relaxing and enjoying life. Now I'm on the news for animal crimes and the CEO of FedEx, Fred Smith calls me and asks me if I had been electrocuting pit bulls last Saturday. I blatantly lie to him and say last Saturday I was at the library reading some books.
Later on I go to court and admit my involvement in doggy play time, I go to jail for two years and lose my job, then I get out. Now tell me something, do you honestly expect Mr. Fred Smith to hire me back?
The simple answer should be hell no. And on a serious note, that's all it comes down to. You are putting Vick on Jesus' level or something, like he deserves special treatment because he can run around fast with an oddly shaped ball.
If I was Vick, i'd be more than happy to be reinstated with a 6 to 8 week suspension. If Goodell told me, you're suspended for a year. I'd take it and thank God that night. If he said two years, I'd do the same thing. Vick's lucky to be where he's at after what he did. The average joe would be staying in his momma's house while working some shitty fast food job for the next five years until he can move up to assistant manager.
