The St. Louis Rams play host to the Seattle Seahawks just two weeks after beating them in overtime. The Rams are 9-3 while the Seahawks are 4-8.
St. Louis Players to Watch
What a difference a year makes. Coming off a terrible 2009 campaign the Rams are looking like playoff contenders. The Rams will be down two running backs today due to injury. Stephen Jackson is out with a broken jaw while Kahlil Bell will miss the game due to a leg injury. Justin King and Brandon Gibson will also miss the game. Rookie Chris Brown will get the nod at halfback, and if he goes down they would have to turn to FB Mike Karney.

Seattle Seahawks Players to Watch
Seattle heads into today's game without the obvious injuries of Matt Hasselbeck and Terrence Cody. The offense looked average against the Chiefs but put the ball in the air too much. They need to rely more on Cedric Peerman and less on Colt McCoy. If Peerman touches the ball 25 times and can get 4-5 yards a play the offense will be in a lot better of a position. Watch for Nate Burleson to have a big game. After Ronald Bartell it is weak at the QB position, so Burleson might have to make plays all over the field to bail out Colt McCoy.

St. Louis Well there certainly wasn't much to talk about today. The Rams took control by FORCE in the first quarter nailing two field goals to take a 6-0 lead. The Seattle offense couldn't even muster a first down. The second quarter was not much better for the Seahawks. Marc Bulger hit Laurent Robinson over the shoulder for 23 yards and a score. The two point conversion was good and the Rams led 14-0 heading into halftime.

Olindo Mare did his job today, allowing Seattle to avoid being shut out by hitting two field goals in the third quarter. The second field goal was 49 yards. There was no scoring the rest of the way, and a lackluster performance by both teams finally came to a halt with the Rams on top 14-6.

Just a year ago the Seattle Seahawks played spoiler in the Big D, shocking the NFL by beating the Cowboys. That in turn sent the Cowboys season in a downward spiral. A year later they face again at Jerry World. This time the Cowboys are right in the thick of the playoff race at 8-5. The Seahawks are 4-9 with a rookie QB, who will come out on top?
Dallas Players to Watch
It could be the Dallas players to watch, or the offensive lineman you will not get to see. Marc Columbo, Flozell Adams, and Kyle Kosier will all miss this game. Riley Cooper will also not dress for today's game. It is November after all, so the Cowboys will have that monkey on their back as they take on the Seahawks. It all comes down to Tony Romo, if he is able to lead the offense and put points up early it will be incredibly tough for Seattle to fight back.

Seattle Seahawks Players to Watch
Cedric Peerman has been a no show the past two weeks for Seattle and hasn't found the endzone in the second half of the season. If the Seahawks want to create balance on offense Peerman needs to step up and makes plays, taking the weight off of the rookies shoulder. With the left side of the line out for this game, look for Lawrence Jackson and Leroy Hill to have big games getting into the backfield and making big plays. I'm also interested to see how the safeties do covering Jason Witten.

Seahawks Lose Heartbreaker, McCoy Struggles Mightily

Dallas What do you get when your two best halfbacks go out injured and your quarterback only completes 7 passes? Yes Seahawk fans, another heart wrenching loss. In a game of high and lows the ultimate ending was that of an utter low. Olindo Mare started the game off with a short field goal giving the Seahawks the quick edge. A 4 yard run off tackle by C.J Spiller made it 10-0 and shades of last season were beginning to be seen. However, after downing a punt on the one yard line C.J was hit coughing up the football. Spiller was also injured on the play and would not return. Keith Brooking recovered the fumble in the end zone for a TD. On the very next drive, Marion Barber led the Cowboys offense down the field on his own, eventually scoring on a 17 yard TD run.

The third quarter was relatively quiet, Olindo Mare added the only scoring with his 31 yard field goal. It was 14-13 Cowboys heading into the 4th. After trading punts for most of the half Colt McCoy finally led a drive down into the red zone. Unfortunately, Orlando Scandrick jumped an out route at the 6 yard line picking the ball off and returning it 94 yards for a TD. Not to be outdone, Samkon Gado took matters into his own hands breaking two tackles and rumbling 61 yards for a score. The 2 point conversion to Nate Burleson was good and we were tied at 21. Tony Romo was able to connect with Miles Austin deep down field with only 30 seconds left, putting the Cowboys into field goal position. Nick Folk was able to nail home the 37 yard field goal and the Seahawks lost a heartbreaker yet again.

In one of week 16's only matchup's without playoff implications, the 4-10 Chicago Bears travel to Seattle to take on the 4-10 Seattle Seahawks.
Chicago Players to Watch
Chicago enters this game with a spotty offense and an aging defense. On offense this team still revolves around Matt Forte who is having another great season. 1330 yards and 7 TD already, Forte is the rock to this offense. However, Jay Cutler is having his second consecutive down season. He has only thrown for 2100 yards so far and has 11 TD and 7 INT. If the offense wants to remain effective they will need more balance and more productivity from Cutler himself.

Colt McCoy is coming off a game where he only completed 7 passes. Even as a rookie that is inexcusable, so McCoy will need to jump out to a better start if the offense wants to succeed. On defense it will come down to the run stuffing and more importantly Lofa Tatupu. If Lofa can cover his gaps and keep it stout up the middle Aaron Curry and Leroy Hill will be able to contain on the outside leaving Matt Forte looking for answers.

Seahawks Christmas Gift is an Offensive Shootout

Seattle If you like offense and Christmas is your favorite holiday today was game to catch as a Seahawk or Bears fan. With absolutely nothing to play for both teams let it fly, combining for 86 points. Devin Hester started the game off with a bang, taking the opening kickoff 92 yards for a score. Kicking was difficult today as torrential downpours made footing slick. C.J Spiller took a screen pass 57 yards to the house on the very next drive, evening up the score at 7-7. A Robbie Gould field goal made it 10-7, but Colt McCoy led his team down the field and capped it off with a 10 yard TD pass to Deon Butler. The team was not able to hold the lead because Devin Hester took his second kick back of the QUARTER, this time going 101 yards. It was 17-14 Bears at the end of the first. You got all that?

The second quarter was even more Bears. After Olindo Mare hit a field goal to tie it, but Matt Forte and Devin Hester both scored touchdowns to go up 31-17 heading into halftime. The Forte touchdown run was 54 yards while Devin Hester caught a 10 yard TD pass. Heading into the third quarter it was more of the same in the big play category, as both Johnny Knox and Deon Butler caught touchdown passes of 60+ yards. The score coming out of the third quarter was 38-24. Robbie Gould hit a field goal for the Bears and after a Seahawk three and out Jay Cutler struck again, this time hitting Greg Olsen for 42 yards and a TD. Seattle tried to mount a bit of a comeback, as Colt McCoy hooked up with both Nate Burleson and Deon Butler for TD's, but it was too little too late as the Seahawks went on to drop their 11th game of the year. They will go for win #5 next week, looking to top last years record.

Seattle travels to Invesco Field to close out the 2010 season and take on the Denver Broncos. The Seahawks are 4-11 while the Broncos are the complete opposite at 4-11.
Denver Players to Watch
The Broncos are missing 4 major players heading into today's game and more importantly the playoffs. Russ Hochstein, Pat Angerer, Atari Bigby, and Brandon Marshall are all done for the season. Kyle Orton will lead the offense though and have to utilize the weapons they do have remaining such as Knowshon Moreno, Eddie Royal, and Tony Scheffler. On defense Elvis Dumervil will look to wreak havoc in the backfield as a pass rusher.

Seattle This was just bad. Denver only planned on playing their starters for one half and in that one half they were able to put up 31 points. Kyle Orton threw for not one, not two, not three, but four touchdown passes in one half. Jabar Gaffney caught two, Brandon Stokley caught one, and Brandon Banks caught another. All Seattle was good for was three field goals from mr.reliable Olindo Mare. In an overall boring game Seattle got pummeled, ending a very disappointing season.
