The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead would work better if it was set up like Scoobey Doo. Have these fuckers traveling every episode and running into mysteries and adventures along the way. The longer they sit still, the more stupid the show and characters gets. Especially since currently there's no end goal, it's just basic pointless survival.

I pretty much said this after I finished season 2. I'm attempting to go at season 3 now that I have a good streaming site once again and its still beyond retarded. I think the biggest thing is like you said how stupid most of the characters are and the decisions being made just constantly make me say "are you kidding me".

The most interested I was in the entire show was in season 1 when they were learning about the virus and trying to figure out how to cure it. Wish they would of went along with that story line for bit but of course that was short lived due to more stupid decisions.
 
Season 1 was by far the best wasn't there only like 6 episodes? Season 2 felt like a drag most the time as well as season 3 its like we wait all the way till the end for something to happen.

About halfway through Season 3 I kinda just said, "wait, why do I care?" I loved season 1, season 2 was pretty meh, but largely the show has been disappointing. I think I've stuck around for long to see where they take the story but it's been in cruise control for awhile now.
 
I had to listen to a couple idiots at my part time job talk about how great of a show this is because they 'can tell the writers really care about the characters'....then while discussing favorite characters couldn't remember the name of 'the black chick.'

Youre watching the wrong show. Thats the complete opposite of how it went down. Second half of S2 numerous characters finally rise up and become interesting, S3 shit was happening every episode until the second half.

??...Im not sure how many Zombie Apocalypse Vets and sane people would be left at that point. These people cant sleep without every sound causing panic , they've seen loved ones ripped to shreds and eaten , there's essentially no hope , little food , and a constant threat of being torn apart. You're expecting slutty soccer moms , farmers , small town cops , and lawyers to act like a rational ,well organized unit. Most people can barely function in the real world let alone a zombie post apocalyptic one. Human beings are retarded why should they be smart just because theyre on tv.
If the show hasnt won you over by now S3 wont help.

All I remember from season 2 was them looking for the little girl the whole season which dragged on. Than for season 3 waiting for shit to go down with the Governor which felt like it still hasn't really happened

Ill stick to my point you're watching the wrong show. The little girl was found in arguably the best episode of the season and one of the best scenes in the series at the halfway point of S2.
I think S3 had some worthless episodes but it also had IMO the best scene and two of the best episodes thus far. Guvnah storyline was a clusterfuck and alot of wasted time on characters they never developed. But Michone , and Merle really developed and carried a bulk of S3.

That was such a great episode reminded me on why I enjoyed the first season so much. This show would be better off if it was just Rick and his family trying to find a place to stay. Instead you have a very cluttered cast of boring and just flatout annoying characters add on top of that a shitty writing team and crap directors you get season 2 and 3.

Are you on an island somewhere and need to write to your folks and are limited to walking dead episodes ? Just watch something else.Why would a sane person continue watching a show they didnt like when theres so much good tv on.
 
Finished Episodes 1-8 of Season 3.

Actually, wasn't terrible.

Stupid people, doing stupid things, to create drama has subsided a bit.

I'm just waiting for Season 3 Part 2 to be a disaster though...its coming.

btw - I know it doesn't mean much, but its fucking annoying that they couldn't even get the eye patch right on The Governor. Also, it seems The Gov is fucking Lotso the Hugging Bear from Toy Story 3. I LOL'd.

this cant go on much longer on tv. Does everyone die ? do they find a haven ? how do they finish this childish comic piece of tv crap? I watch it like a car accident on tv. I think the worst people for this show are the ones who have read the comics and think the show is amazing. They think because they read the comics and you haven't that makes them 'uber-cool' and think it matters in terms of watching it on TV. My one friend is like this and I tell her all the time how shit the show has become, and she just goes in on me about it. Tells me the show isn't about the walkers, it is really about human beings surviving with no rules and how they interact. And to that I say "yeah, that is obvious, and it is still stupid as hell because these people are fucking nuts".

You just know (in the show universe) while these bumfucks are killing each other in Atlanta, a bunch of chill motherfuckers are sitting in like LA or Miami having a grand old time, not killing each other, sitting with chairs on the beach and inviting anyone in.

You just know (in the show universe) while these bumfucks are killing each other in Atlanta, a bunch of chill motherfuckers are sitting in like LA or Miami having a grand old time, not killing each other, sitting with chairs on the beach and inviting anyone in.

when a show is popular world wide-which this one is- its because of the zombies and the cheesey horror aspect. No one gives a damn about character development.
