NUFC have agreed a deal for Massadio Haidara from Nancy. I have never seen him play and am just now trying to dig up info. More depth on the back line and the more that can done to ensure Perch never plays again, the better.

There is also a rumour that Newcastle are in for Moussa Sissoko. He's out of contract in the summer and apparently available for free. I'd be quite happy with him as well

Reading the L'Equipe archives, they seem pretty impressed with Haidara. They valued him at €8m in November so hopefully we got him for a bit less

The few French guys I follow on twitter say he's really promising, but still very raw. Only 20 but has a decent amount of games in Ligue 1. Could be a big day for us, just have to hope Colo stays.

Sounds like Gouffran in too. I remember hearing about him when he left Caen but not much while at Bordeaux. 180 appearances suggests he has talent but a 1:4 goals to game ratio seems a bit low. Two footed from what I understand so he can play wide in Pardews 433

I really wish that we would go after another striker. I would honestly prefer to never see Torres be on the field ever again. He's that useless. I would rather play with 10 men than with Fernando Torres. Lucas Piazon (if we hadn't loaned him)/Islam Feruz would be soooooooo significantly better then Torres.

Unfortunately it seems that we are stuck with him due to his price/wages which is ridiculous when we'll spend millions and millions on departed managers. Don't see why it should be different with players.

No idea why you didn't bring Lukaku back. Kid is beasting it at West Brom. Oh well, he'll continue to get 1st team action and hopefully be better for it next year

Sounds like Zaha to ManU is a done deal. £10m upfront, £5m based on conditions and he is loaned back to Palace for the rest of the season. Sounds like a win all around, as I'd like to see Palace win promotion. They've fallen in to the pack again, so they need Zaha to try and get second

MLS has blocked the move for Brek to go to Stoke. They told Dallas he is worth more than the bid they accepted. Theyre actually doing the boy a favor. Hell more than likely move in the summer now. Hopefully though it wont be to Stoke.

Everton have opened talks with Sevilla for Spanish International striker Alvaro Negredo.

The BBC are reporting Everton will resume talks on Thursday for the highly rated striker, who is rated at £13m by Sevilla.

However, Sevilla´s financial difficulties could allow the player to leave for less.
