EA will never go full sim on any title, they've made that clear. Although this is one game where I think they should.

I wonder if this means Jim Nantz will talk shit if you make a bad shot. I usually just muted the commentary anyway.

Maybe it will actually be worth listening to.

yay...as long as nantz doesnt get repetitive like all commentary does.
i would like to see rain and be able to play with real cpu guys in my tourney pairing offline. the game has always played well, but its an EA game and always ends up being to easy to win

Maybe they can patch the lack of wind effects on things in the environment (ie trees) in the PS3 version of '11. Unless they have? I haven't played it since I first got it.

Maybe. Distance themselves now, but keep their options open.
If Tiger has a comeback year, they can re-embrace him, if he doesn't, they can simply rename the game after The Masters.
It's pretty much a win-win, since a lot of golf fans absolutely love The Masters.

Wondering what the difference is between the two editions.

Honestly, though, I'll usually buy a previous year's used. I've been looking for a copy of 11 for PS3. GS has it at $35 (well, the 360 version) used, so I'd get 10% off that.

The PS3 collectors edition has 4 extra courses.
The 360 doesn't, because they won't fit on the disc ... so they'll be available as X-Box DLC when the game is released.

Yup.
I'm dying to try Tiger with the Move, so I may move over to PS3 next year.
Golf is the only game where I am dying to try motion controls right now.
I could also see baseball working, but The Show is only using it for home run derby this year.
