Aww man, I like him too, but I don't consider him a top 10 RB....yet. He needs to get better at catching the ball cleanly out of the backfield and working on his blitz pick-up. He's got all of the physical skills, just needs to work on his mental ones.

Personally I think Rodgers is better than Cutler but Cutler has been doing it longer than one season so Im all good with that.

Because he has had 1,000 yard rushing seasons the past 4 years and had 13 rushing touchdowns last year. Also averaged 4.5 ypc. Who would you rather be there?

He was pretty studly in his last year with Chicago and has been good for the J-E-T-S ever since. I think its fair that he snuck into the top 10.

the only reason he has a bad deep ball rating is cuz marvin got the drop-see's.

Have a good reason for that? I've got plenty of examples of great QBs who missed a season and came back just as good (Montana and Marino being the most obvious), and can't think of one off the top of my head who had a single year out make them worse.

History suggests QBs are perfectly capable of taking a year off and coming back fine. There is no reason to bump Brady down. He's proven over and over how good he is, he does not have to prove a thing anymore. If he sucks, his ratings'll drop.

Drew Brees was just fine after, i think a torn rotator cuff. Almost broke Dan Marino's record.

I think Frank Gore is too high up on the list. Then also Ladainian Tomlinson. LT is probably top 5 because of how good he has done in the past. He is not worthy of a 94 rating. Maybe between 89-91. Steve Slaton, Matt Forte, and Chris Johnson were 6, 7, and 8 in the league in rushing yards but not one of them crack the top ten list of running backs.

My Top 10 list of Running Backs would go as follows:

1. Adrian Peterson - 97
2. Michael Turner - 96
3. Deangelo Williams - 95
4. Clinton Portis - 93
4. Brian Westbrook - 93
6. Steve Slaton - 91
6. Matt Forte - 91
6. Thomas Jones - 91
9. Ladainian Tomlinson - 90

LOL. So Madden Rating's are rated on seasons prior to 2009 and not last year? So TJ should have a higher rating that Forte and Johnson because he had good years in 2005 and 2006?


Ratings depend on what the player MAINLY did the previous year, and not every year prior.

I dont know about madden but I think most games do a three year span for the ratings but the previous year making more of an impact. So might be the same for madden

Aso, I'd put Johnson and Forte over Slaton.

Johnson wasn't as good a receiver out of the backfield compared to Slaton and Johnson benefited from one of the better offensive lines in the league. He also had a good running partner in Lendale White. I think Slaton is underrated because of all the other great weapons on the Texans offense. Then Johnson is looked at as a much better running back because he is the Titans best weapon. I would definitely put Slaton over Chris Johnson.

Now Forte was the Bears leading receiver and rusher and pretty much was the entire Bears offense. Now maybe Slaton benefited from the zone blocking scheme but Forte averaged just 3.9 ypc compared to Slaton's 4.8. Forte also had just 13 more catches and Slaton. I ended up giving them the same overall rating in 91.

Umm yeah last years AFC Leading Yard Rusher shouldn't make the top 10 for a game that is based on last years results? GTFO.

I'll admit that Forte looks to have a better future and Forte is on the rise while Jones career is hitting the later years but yeah AFC Leading Yard Rusher merits a top 10 rating.

In Madden 09, AP was a 95 overall. And that was after his Rookie year.
