so if a guy is great on a great defense he is not as good as a guy who is great on a decent defense? in what way is ware better? harrison is a stellar edge rushers against the pass, he can stuff the run like a de and can drop back and cover any TE in the league and prolly some of the lower tiered wide outs. ware is fats off the edge and gets to the qb, but he is sos so against the pass and does ok, not great, but ok against the run. ware's name got out there cuz he had a shot at the sack record... that is until he just disappeared the last two games, where his team needed him badly, of the year.

Wares name is not out there cuz of the sack record ONLY. As Harrisons name is not out there cuz he played on the best defensive team in the league ONLY.

All those things you mentined about Harrison, Ware does them too, so again thats a wash. I think Ware is better, its ok you dont. But as for Ware, he came into the league and has done nothing but produce consistently, compared to Harrisons two years of noticable ball.

It all boils down to how are the Seahawks core said to be better than the Steelers core? Hell you can take Timmons out and you still have 3 proven LBs. Let Curry and the rest of the core play some games and prove something before their annoited the next best LB core.

i dont think anyone would say the seahawk has a better lb core, i was just shocked to see the hawks in the top 5 and people even having them higher than the bears.

hes proven because hes part of the steelers rotation, and in that rotation hes produced. Hes the main reason the steelers released farrior and are comfortable with it. Hes getting up there in age, but they wouldnt release him with confidence if they didnt feel as though they didnt have anyone to replace him.

78 tackles, 5 sacks, 3 pd, and 1 int isnt bad for a rotation guy who came in the league as an OLB, and made the switch to an inside lb in the 3-4.

Ravens=Ball/Clock Control, Run/Pass% = 70/30. Plus by that time Ware was being tripled teamed. When an outside guy is being triple teamed it would seem the other OLB would get in but the Ravens ran straight up the middle.

better passrusher yes, but better overall lb no. They are close though. Arguably 1.a and 1.b.


On another note. Ware is VERY underrated as a run stopper. Teams really struggle to one to his side, and I see him making alot of TFLs...and just blowing up plays in the backfield, forcing runningbacks to go otherwise. Rarely do I hear people praise ware for his presence in stopping the run.

i disagree. He may have a great o line but you cant take away how good of a runner he is. He has good vision and runs with more power and toughness than expected considering his size and skillset. Point blank hes a good runner. i wouldnt say he had his success strictly because of the guys that were blocking for him.

this makes my point about why dallas shluldnt be on a list. if you have one guy who takes 3 people to stop, then someone has to come free. it is simple math. when ware got tripled, the front 7 looked like shit. when harrison gets tripled, woodley, farrior and foote/timmons are on that ass. also the steelers front 3 is better but thats a whole other deal. man i hate dallas.
