So I got my 200/200 on Kill Team. I really liked the game. The only thing that pissed me off about it were the unskippable cut scenes. With a game that encourages and requires (to get all the cheevos) multiple play throughs of the levels having to watch the cut scenes over and over again is annoying as fuck.

I played some Alien Breed co-op with our boy Buzzman and also restarted the single player of the first game since I never finished it. Man, I can't stress enough how good those games are. I'm pretty sure that the first two are 400pts or $5 each and they are well worth it. I just wish the third and final game would go on sale but I might end up just downloading it anyway for $10 because I know it's worth that. For those that don't know it's an isometric twin stick shooter set on a space ship with aliens, ala Dead Space. It uses the Unreal Engine and looks damn good. Especially with the whole co-op thing it reminds me so much of an isometric Gears of War.

At the very least check out the trials for the games.

My cousin and I finished Gatling Gears a bit ago. It's a really fun twin stick shmup. We only have two more cheevos that we need to mop up though. One requires you to play through the entire game on Hard which is going to take some time because it;s a long game.

If you haven't picked it up yet now is the time considering it's 400pts.

I finally finished a season in Madden 11 last night. LOL. I won with the Titans. It was a really fun season. I went 12-4 in the regular season. I had to play the Colts in the first round whom I went 1-1 against in the regular season. I was somehow able to tie the game up with a long catch and run with Moss on 4th down with less than a minute to go. 35-35. I won in O.T. after stopping them and kicking a long FG. Then I had to play the Pats and somehow kicked the shit out of them. I was pressuring Brady all game, something I couldn't do to Manning, and he had a dreadful game. I think I won 56-16 or something. Then I met the Packers in the Superbowl and it was another classic game. I was able to tie the game up with just over a minute and we ended up going into O.T. They held me. i held them. I got the ball back again and ended up kicking a long FG to win it. Awesome season.

I'm fucking loving Gears 3 and God of War Origins right now.

I also finished my first season in NCAA with the Irish an won the NC. My only concern is that Michael Floyd only graduated and didn't enter the draft and I wanted to see him in Madden. I guess it's because I seriously underutilized him but he played the outside receiver and hardly ever seemed to get open. I was able to convince Cierre Wood to stay at ND after he initially wanted to go pro after his near Heisman season.

I guess I need to just sim several seasons to get more realistic draft classes.

God damn I'm loving God of War:Origins. I think I'm aboy 2/3's of the way throught Chains of Olympus. I swear they could just keep putting out the same game with some new levels, bosses and weapons (which they basic ally do) and I would just eat every one up. I love this series.

I also am loving the TST. I was able to trade Cutler for Vick and nad a nail biter in my first game with him against the stacked Panthers. Luckily Forte had a solid game and my defense was a brick wall. I came out with a 14-12 win.:kwon:

Just finished Chains of Olympus tonight. It only takes about six hours but man is that a delicious six hours. I'm a bit pissed that I missed one trophy that should've been easily attainable. But now in order to get it I would need to replay half the game. Oh well.

Now on to Ghost of Sparta.

Instead of GoS I fired up Shadows of the Damned on the 360 last night. Man, is that game nits. I'm only about an hour in but it's pretty damn awesome.

The only thing I don't like so far is that there are a lot of these gems hidden throughout the game, used to upgrade your weapons and buy shit at vending means like health potions (which are bottles of tequila LOL). I love exploring everu nook and cranny of a game but let's say there are two paths. You pick one and it migh hit a cut scene right away and then you can't go back. So chances are there are gems down the other path that you miss. So far I've been able to load a previous checkpoint when that has happened and explore the other path but it's a pain.Especially since you can't just pull up an in-game menu and load a save. You have to quit to the main menu and resume from your last checkpoint.

It reminds me a lot of Dark Sector, which I know doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement. It's just that it uses Unreal, has the same perspective, controls similarly and is a direct experience. But it's loads better in terms of game play, fun factor and just absolute craziness. I haven't played Bayonetta yet (although I do own it, LOL) but so far this is by far the craziest game I've ever played. You gain health by drinking tequila, sake and absinth. You stuff hearts, strawberries and brains into baby head locks on gates to get through. The weapons shoot teeth, bones and who knows what else. The humor has me constantly chuckling to.

It has a very old school vibe when it comes to combat, especially bosses and mini-bosses. You have to find their weak spots and patterns and such.

I love all the upgrades as well.

Great game so far.

I haven't played either yet but if I were to guess it would be the immense challenge. Those games are like throwbacks to the old days when games were tough and where if you fucked up you had to start a level all over. No more save anywhere and unlimited continue bullshit.
