So, the restore completed around 5:30am. A total of over 15hrs! At least it worked and didn't take two days like the console to just on sole transfer did. Christ.

Now I have 500+GB free. I'm going to try to go back and download all the free PS+ shit that I didn't before to save room. I made sure to download Far Cry 2 and Bioshock 2.

I deactivated all my systems just in case because it looked like my console was showing up twice because of the whole process. Basically it thinks it's a new system.

Now, I would imagine this won't take nearly as long with m wife's PS3 since she only has about 20+GB of content.

Hey Pad, or anyone else, since I loaded all the DLC for Borderlands via the GotY disc on my wife's PS3, will I have to reinstall it after the HDD upgrade? I'm hoping not since it should be part of the Game Data file now.

I did try to sync my trophies last night and after a half hour it was at 19%! Unreal.

Now if I could only figure out what's causing most of my installs to fail after downloading. It has to have something to do with my connection because it does the same thing on the wife's PS3. It seems like some people say port forwarding should fix it but that's what they say for everything. The last time I tried fucking with ports on my router, which was back in the MM days, it totally fucked my 360's connection.

Yeah as padman said, just put that shit in the DMZ, thus all ports are exposed. You def sound like you have a NAT issue.

It takes me about 30 seconds to sync my trophies. Have you reset both your modem and router recently? That might help.

You should DMZ one of the PS3s on your router (both if you can).

I think the trophy sync is just because ut's teh first time doing it since swapping the hard drive. It usually takes about two minutes, never that long.

I'd love to do that but I have no idea how. I do know that whenever I play a game it says my NAT is open.

Ok, so how do I delete this external hard drive so I can use it to do teh swap on my wife's console? There doesn't seem to be any option while it's plugged in the PS3 and my PC only seems to show that it has like 1.5GB of total space? I guess because it's in FAT32 format? Either way, I can't figure out how to clear it that way either. Should I just re-format it to FAT32 again using the program I installed from the tutorial video? Will that also clear the data?

I'm juggling so many games lately. On PS3 I have Far Cry 3, Ghost Recon (with Swarley and Handle), Dead Island (with Dizzle), Borderlands 1 (with the wife), Borderlands 2 (Dizzle), Battlefield 3 on occassion and starting RE6 (with Dizzle) hopefully tomorrow. Plus on 360 I have Mark of the Ninja and Borderlaands 2 (my cousin, chick from work and hopefully Med).

After finishing Far Cry 3 I started up Dishonored. I only just got to the bar so I'm way early but it isn't anything special yet. I still don't know how Swarley didn't know whales and whale Oil were a significant point of the game. There are references everywhere. Fucking clown.

I regret getting the game on PS3 though because my 360 has been getting almost zero use lately.

And fuck the haters, RE6 is a fun game.

Did you ever finish Deadlight? I liked it quite a bit, but I thought that the ending was bad. I dunno if I'd pay 15 bucks in retrospect (although man is the game pretty and well designed artistically).

As far as Dishonored, I didn't realize that Swarley missed that either, but oh well, it doesn't matter. That games story is silly and a sidestory at best. Still, fun if you like the genre, and the skills are fucking awesome.

Yes I did. If I would've paid full price for Deadlight I wouldn't have been too pissed but I do feel better paying half. My only real complaint was that the controls weren't as tight as I would've liked. It really just reminded me that Chair needs to make another Shadow Complex game ASAP.

So far it reminds me a lot of Bioshock with the art style, the dual wielding and the looting. Plus you have the stealth elements obviously. I keep hearing it gets a lot better when you start unlocking powers.

AC has had an entire series to tell its convoluted story and that is to its DETRIMENT. Sorry Swarley. At least Dishonored can regroup maybe. Assassins Creed is a FUCKING MESS at this point and needs a miracle to save it IMO.

Yeah, I love some of the AC games, including their stories. On the other hand, not all of them are great, and can be far from it. That doesn't change the fact that despite Dishonored's good gameplay, the story is a steaming pile of crap.
