UFC 123: Rampage vs. Machida (11/20)

Any thoughts on the missing 7 seconds from the Harris/Falcao fight? I assumed that perhaps the onscreen clock was out of sync with the live clock, but it appears that they are actually investigating.

Falcao should never have had to take the abuse from Dana, he should of had the tap in the first round (and I think Harris quick tapped anyway)

I watched it twice today I suggest you people do the same. There was no punch of significance landed by either guy. 2 halfway clean shots landed..one by each.
Its ridiculous Machida goes 11 fights never losing a round with the exact same style and same results but you guys now think hes losing rounds doing it ?
Machida HELD RAMPAGE AGAINST THE CAGE more often then Rampage did those two rounds. Just because he initiated he wins on points ?

Machida running ? You guys are in bizarro world. Unless a guy stands in the pocket yelling rawr hes running. He was bouncing in and out avoiding everything Rampage threw. Machida won by ticky tack to Rampages non existent offense.

Once again just like laying down on a guy , leaning on a guy shouldnt be worth a shit on points. Bringing a guy down for him to bounce right back up ONE time doesnt make a winning round.

Machida was far more active and did as he please. Rampage couldnt catch him , couldnt hold him , and got popped and almost subbed in the 3rd.

Shoguns draw makes infinitely more sense than a rampage win.

Theres no justification for Rampage winning those 2 first rounds.

Machida used to be more consistent with his offense before entering the UFC. His style was the same, but it seems like he engaged more. Also, fighters study and adjust, no one else fought Machida as aggressively as Shogun and Rampage did.

It's not that black and white either, I'm not saying Machida should get in bar room brawls to be effective, but his elusiveness doesn't mean anything if he's not putting together the offense to go with it. You said it yourself, he only landed a few decent strikes, you can shut a team out with great defense, but if your not putting points on the board it doesn't mean anything. Plus, Machida has the speed and technique to sidestep and counter at angles if he wanted to. IMO he was being too defensive and would rather completely disengage instead of stepping off and countering.

Gerald Harris got cut from the UFC.

Shocking to say the least.

Definitely shocking. I don't see how they can let a guy like Harris go after one bad fight, it just turned out to be one of those awkward matchups.
