[ALL] US Soldiers Sound Off On Playable Taliban In New Medal Of Honor

simple choice: if you're offended, dont buy it. game doesnt sell? they dont do it again. but people will buy it anyway. so really the opinions of people who wont play the game and have no investment in the franchise doesnt matter. soldiers play IRL video games, with no respawn. they are way more badass than anyone playing CODMOH or whatever. they also go to war to protect our right to play a video game however the fuck we want.

personally, i like it, i get to shoot taliban fucks in the face. its really not any different from killing nazi's, which is always a satisfying video game experience. but again, soldiers go to war to to protect the america way of life, to protect our freedoms... even the freedom to do something that they might not personally agree with.
 
Always had an issue with how "fresh" some of these things were. Games about a war still going on ... movies about 9.11 being made while site was still being cleaned up.

I personally dont like playing as the taliban as a selling point. But to each his own if someone wants to do it go ahead.

side note-- I agree about the education sentiment. Devs have such an opportunity to depict war they rarely take.

That wasn't the point. I also love shooting Taliban in the face, or anywhere else for that matter. I don't want to play AS THEM.

That's what I was thinking. In all reality, though, my opinion doesn't count for so much, because I'm not planning on buying this, or really probably any other FPS.

Even now, I'm a cop. I don't have a problem playing a single player game like GTA where I kill a cop here of there. But playing a multiplayer mode where it's Thugs vs Cops. I'm pretty sure I would never want to play as the Thugs.

Why even make the compairason under assumption then? I can respect that you're a pig and don't want to play games where pigs are the target objective. As far as speaking on all pigs behalves..... Who's to say your fellow pigglets would agree? I served 8 yrs in the Corps and have no problem with playing as a towel headed terrorist fuckstick killing an American. It's just a video game IMO.

And that's fine. And like you said, I'm sure there are plenty of cops that wouldn't have a problme either. But I would guess more often that not you would be in the minority.

Most soldiers I know completely despise those pieces of shit and wouldn't even fathom playing as one, video game or not. I'm not even a soldier and I would like to spit on every one of those fucks and wouldn't want to play as them either.
 
Concur as far as despising the Taliban. IDK, maybe it's the fact that this is a FPS and I don't really see them. I'm not thinking along the lines that I'm a towel head and I'm killing for Allah.
