I do agree with that but it needs to transfer over then to the National Championship. I you win your division and then your Conf Championship you're still alive for the National Championship. If you don't... Sorry, you lost. Even if 9 times out of 10 you'd beat the team you lost too.

I never thought disliking the divisional alignment would cause so much hatred & controversy. Every year we have shitty conf title game matchups because of it, this year will be no different. And i did try to make my points in a civil way before everyone started piling on & flaming away.

Yeah. Or if Ok St was to lose in the Conf Championship game they'd be out. Or if Oregon lost in the Pac 12 Champ game (they'd be out because of 2 losses anyways) they would not be eligible. Win your Conference and you can be in the discussion of who deserves to take a stab at the big trophy.

They already played once and LSU won. Another game would just tie the series at 1-1. Sorry but Alabama needed to win the game that mattered. The fact that they play once makes that ONE game a year AWESOME because of how much it means for the entire season. If they played again not only would it just mean that Alabama would have a chance to tie the season series (which would be pretty anti-climatic and not determine much) but it would also mean that game 1 between the two was just a waste of time considering that the 2nd game was the only one that matters.
But i propose that it shouldnt be about the season series...i see it like the NFL, regular season & postseason are different...so Team A can lose to Team B during the season, but if Team A wins in the playoffs thats what should matter under my proposal...the regular season game would still be very meaningful because no one is guaranteed a rematch in the postseason/championship, it just turned out that way

Here's the deal. The NCAAFB Conferences themselves would be the divisions of pro sports. So LSU or Georgia will win the division. The "postseason" would be a playoff between the conference champs and if you want to throw in wildcard teams maybe that's how Bama gets into the playoffs.

Thats cool i dont need anyone to agree with me, as long as people see my point thats all i been trying to do. I just want college football to be more like the NFL, and not make the regular season a playoff. You can have a playoff after the regular season and get more great games & determine a better champion in my opinion.

I agree with that alot. I'd just rather put everyone into a big playoff system after the Championship games instead of counting the Conference Championships as round 1. Feel like that would result in a less cluttered and more fair playoff system.
I guess thats huge point me & others disagree with, i would count the conf championship games as the beginning of the playoffs.

Ok, that's fair if you think that but it just seems like it's REALLY unfavorable to conferences like the SEC. They are going to have a ridiculously tough "1st round" game while Boise State plays a cake game in "round 1". LSU this season would deserve a much easier 1st round game because that's how playoffs work for the most part. If you are the #1 seed you get it easy in round one. Alabama is anything but an easy round 1 opponent.
true but i wouldnt propose boise state get in automatically. id only have the top 6 ranked conf champs get in. and while its true some will have tougher games than others, theres really no other way to narrow down the field other than by conference.

But dont you realize this already happens? As it is teams play during the regular season & meet again in the conf championship, it happened just last year with Auburn & South Carolina for the SEC. If South Carolina had won the season series woulda been split but SC woulda been the SEC champ. This scenario already happens.
