Wasn't Bioshock Infinite delayed several times? Plus it was in development for five years. Most would say it was a GotY candidate for 2013.

I wouldn't generally say that just because a game has been delayed a few times it means doom for the game.

Sometimes, really ambitious games run into this. The development team gets some extra time, like in this case where Ubisoft delayed it from November most likely to get out of the way of its own game Assassin's Creed, and then they start adding in a bunch of stuff that they were going to cut. They keep adding to the game and next thing they know they realize they won't make a March release so they delay again.

The Last of Us and GTA V were delayed. Two of the best games of that console generation. :shifty:

We knew what to expect with Bioshock though.

Having a new IP delayed several times is scary. I will wait til I see lits of game play and read impressions. I was very pumped about the game but after all of the delays I'm taking the wait and see approach. Many other games I want will launch about the same time also.

now the questions is...is last gen PS2/Xbox era? If we are still calling xbone/ps4 "Next Gen" then the "current gen" is PS3/360 and therefore "last gen" is PS2/Xbox.

That's the way I feel. As far as I'm concerned once the "next gen" starts that is the current gen. I hate when you constantly hear people refer to shit as the "next gen" years into the generation. Ugh! Although I have heard people in the industry refer to PS4/XBone as the "new gen".

Hadn't heard that but that's probably the best way to go. New-gen and old-gen while games are regularly coming out for both gens the first couple years. B/c you can't really call PS3/360 "last-gen" while games are still coming to that gen exclusively. Good work Twiggles. :thumbsup:

Yes, the idea that something that is currently out could be considered the "next" generation is absolutely ridiculous.

I agree with Twigg, "new" gen is probably the best bet. It at least makes sense.
