First Christopher Guest film I've seen, I really really liked it. Great writing.

w2b recommended it, my coworker did too, it was so good. Probably my favorite Vince Vaughn performance.

I love this movie.

I think the key to this movie is to go in blind and not know what you are getting into. I caught it from the beginning on HBO at like 2am one night, and had no idea what the premise was. It made it so much better. It's rare these days to watch a movie in that way.

Wallstreet: Money Never Sleeps - I enjoyed this.

 

Yes, a blind man could see the Gecko heel turn coming, and I was pissed at the Gecko babyface turn at the end, but it held my interest for 2 hours, which is more than I can say for most of the shit I watch these days. I am the most cynical movie reviewer ever, and this didn't offend me or make me roll my eyes.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - 8.5/10

Never read the books, but this movie definitely makes me wanna start reading them.

Visuals were superb (although one scene where they're riding their broomsticks is a little rough on the edges), action was superb, score was minimalistic but also superb. The Battle of Hogwarts was pretty amazing, but some parts seemed to drag a little bit during the fight. Emma Watson's cleavage was awesome as well :fap::fap::fap:

I think watching Part 1 and Part 2 together is a must for now on. I think I may have even enjoyed Part 1 a little bit more despite the lack of action in the film. It set everything up incredibly well. I'm glad I watched Part 1 again right before I saw Part 2.

Fun movie, Gyllenhall (sp?) is damn good in it and an interesting story. The ending left me a bit lacking (IMO, it didn't end as well as it could have) but it gets point for the freshness of the backstory (what the source code is, specifically).

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2...

No score...but it was rather awesome as a cinematic event. Just an hour+ of ridiculous wizard on wizard crime. Battle of Hogwarts was portrayed as epic in a way the books could never make it and was damn near an hour. I had fun, fuck it.

Good to see Voldemort get the True Death in True Blood fashion, too.

The special effects were top notch as always and the plot twists kept you on the edge of your seat. The Battle of Hogwarts seemed to drag on a bit but the producers had to stretch the movie since they put 75% of the book in the first movie. The showdown between Harry Potter and Voldemort was epic. Overall, a solid ending to the Harry Potter series.

Was my 1st time seeing this. (I know, i know, it's even worse because i live in Chicago). Really enjoyed it, not only was it funny, also after watching it I understand like 80% of the references that family guy and other shows make that I had no idea came from this movie.

In Chicago they do a bunch of movies in the park every summer. So i watched it on a huge blowup theater screen outside. It was pretty sweet.

Horrible Bosses was a lot of fun. Charlie Day (Always Sunny FTW) stole the film (Foxx and Farrell could also get that claim in their respective scenes). Sure, the ending goblin mentioned was telegraphed a mile away, but I can give them a pass for everything up to that part.

Bateman brings it as usual and I found Sudeikis more enjoyable than his stuff on SNL (but I' m not a big SNL guy). The three had good chemistry, no doubt.

Plus, I like how the film actually does end...the scene they used to fade to black was gold.

HPeathly Hallows pt 2 9/10

Fantastic movie. Only read the first 2 loved the first movie/book thought the rest were meh-ok. This one was just great. Visually , storyline , acting..everything was great.
I was ready to write off Voldemort as wackest villain ever...but this movie saved that.

It was pretty good. I like Wilco so I enjoyed the music obviously, but I already knew the story behind the album which isn't that compelling, so as a documentary it wasn't great.

That's definitely my favorite Guest movie. If you like that style, [URL="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0310281/"]A Mighty Wind (IMDB)[/URL] is really funny too. Other good Christopher Guest movies are The Princess Bride (actor) and This Is Spinal Tap (actor, writer). You should definitely check out A Mighty Wind. It's primarily the same cast as Best in Show and that same mockumentary style.

For me - I'm going to watch that movie Limitless to kill time at work (I love my job), and the next flick I'm planning on watching after that is [URL="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1172570/"]Bronson (IMDB)[/URL]. I just want to see how Tom Hardy does as a swol psycho - kinda like a preview to seeing him as Bane, I guess.
