I saw Skyfall yesterday. Even though I've only seen one other Bond film all the way through (Casino Royale) I still really enjoyed it.

argo must be pretty bad if u ranked that low...and below the horror film thats been done 100 times before. i actually thought about going to the theaters to see argo

Nope not at all, I didn't dislike any of the movies I've seen this year Argo just didn't meet my expectations. I thought the script was kinda meh and the first scene was done so phenomenally well that the rest of the movie didn't live up to the standard set.

And I dunno if you mean Prometheus or Cabin in the Woods as the horror movie but they both had some incredibly unique ideas for horror films.

Really liked it, this kid is a MUCH better spidey/Peter Parker than Tobey, aside from the ending and the at times cheesy lookin special effects...I really enjoyed this movie from start to finish.

the cheesy special effects weren't the only problem, the movie was not that good.
how long can that 30 something chick keep playing a high school student.
 
Battleship - 1 1/2 stars out of 4.

Wow, this movie had me talking to myself most of the time. Right from the opening with the main character's brother saying "You're joining the Navy!" cut to Battleship title on the screen.

Rihanna was pretty stale but is always nice to look at. Visually the film did a great job.

We'll says it's the poor man's version of Transformers with Brooklyn Decker playing her role ala Megan Fox trying to help her boyfriend save the world with some Jeff Goldblum wanna be and a big black guy with no legs :rofl:
 
saw Lincoln last night. good movie

not sure there needs to be a spoiler here since we all know what happens... but just in case

 
kind of confused on why the Dem reps didn't want to vote for the amendment since it would abolish slavery, which is what the war was all about right? guess it had something to do with wanting lawful equality and not racial equality but still not sure on the difference there.
 
watched the bourne identity today. what a great film. really enjoyed damon and the story. the main bad guy was a terrible choice for that role. he is a bad actor no matter what role he gets. the female...franka what ever her last name is was also great.

going to watch the next 2 in the series this weekend.

I think it would have came off a bit better if they were in college.

The effects looked really bad though you would think in 2012 they could do a better job, But you have to realize the studio really didn't want to make this film it was made just to keep the rights away from Disney and Marvel.
 
Watched Lawless which stars one of my favorite actors which is Tom Hardy.

overall i liked it, had some good scenes in it but wish it had more action scenes and the good ole running from the feds with moonshine in the back. also the story line could have used more detail than what it had but overall i enjoyed it.

Still holds up for a '95 film.

It's always fun to see DeNiro play straight man while Pesci loses his shit until the inevitable.
