Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 - Good movie leading into what is expected to be a grand finale to the Harry Potter series. There are some nice action scenes throughout the film, but there are also times where the movie just seems to drag along, particularly when the trio is forced to traverse the countryside. I think if they would have included the Potterwatch radio broadcasts, these scenes could have provided more substance to the viewer, especially with regards to the war going on in the wizarding community. Not too much of a big deal, but it might have helped these slow moving scenes. Overall, a fairly faithful film adaptation that should satisfy Harry Potter fans.

Palooza, you're Takers review almost made me piss my pants. Seriously.

I just say Iron Man 2 last night. It was solid, merely for the sake of being solid. Ultimately, when it was over I was just felt like saying "Cool story bro."

Scarlett Jo was sexy, but served no purpose, and the overall plot failed to make me give a shit. On par with the first one, but ultimately, no emotional connection from me.

Well made superhero film, but nothing more than that.

Whatever Works - Larry David is so abrasive in this movie, it becomes uncomfortable.

Movie does provide a classic scene:

*Larry David frantically screaming and running downstairs in his pajamas*

Wife - "Honey, what's wrong?"

Larry David - "I'm dying!"

Wife - "OMG, should I call an ambulance?"

Larry David - "No, i'm not dying right now! Eventually!"

The Messenger - Started off tremendous, and I was thinking "how the FUCK did Woody Harrelson not win every fucking award under the sun for this?".

By the end of the movie, turns out he was just playing Woody Harrelson again.

Still very good.

Had to turn this movie off. The girl is so cartoonishly "southern bumpkin" that my roommate and I, both from Atlanta, just rolled our eyes and agreed to stop watching. Larry David was okay, but I just felt that they didn't even try with painting a three-dimensional love interest for him. That girl's character was straight out of the fucking book of 1950s Hollywood archetypes.

Imaginarium of Dr. Paranassus wasn't bad, I felt Collin Farell was a weak point and was honestly slightly disappointed by the visuals. I was expecting something more trippy.

The Road.

First time seeing it since reading the novel about two years ago. Better than I expected and it was pretty damn close to the film (from what I remembered) besides some of the stuff with Charlize Theron (the mother).

I wouldn't watch it if I were depressed or in an especially happy mood, but it's a recommended film.

Cocaine Cowboys II - Not nearly as good as the first one, which was beyond facinating to the point I could have literally watched it forever. Totally engrossing. II was just meh, had to struggle to not change the channel.
