Luck doesn't have much to work with, idk where people get off on saying Luck has more talent around him than RGIII.

Luck has no real runningback help, He's got an absolutely terrible offensive line. The best WR in Indianapolis last year was Pierre Garcon (where's he playing now?). The Nature of Indianapolis' offense forces Luck to make more deep throws than he really should be, Analyst point out all the time how it seems like Indianapolis doesn't run underneath routes. The offensive coordinator has been pushing Luck to make big passing plays down the field (if IIRC He's leading the league in that stat, or at one point was, in 20+ yard passing plays) and he has delivered.

As for the Indianapolis Power House comment, Indianapolis' turnover this offseason was ridiculous, there's very very few guys who were part of the old regime that are still here. This is essentially a new team, With a new head coach, With a new Front Office Management, With new players taking over as key contributers. Dwight Freeney has slipped into relative obscurity while Robert Mathis has essentially turned into Indianapolis' #1 pass rusher. Defensive backs like Vontae Davis have given Indianapolis some corner play that we as fans haven't witnessed in a long, long time. Reggie Wayne has become the offensive leader this year (last year it was Pierre Garcon), while rookies like Dwayne Allen and T.Y. Hilton have shown much promise for the future.

I don't have to say who I believe is the best rookie this year because my fandom speaks for itself. I understand that I can't make an uninvested decision. But what I do know is this team was 2-14 last year, and their record would probably be about the damn same if Luck hadn't won us some games. He's shown incredible clutchness against teams this year and has legitimately put the team on his back on some game winning drives and won Indianapolis games. He's more athletic than anyone will give him credit for, and he's big and strong enough that he appears to be the type of guy with that ironman will. Andy luck hasn't sat out any games this year, the same can't be said about RGIII. Furthermore, RGIII's rookie backup comes in and puts up 3+ Bills and 2 Touchdowns against Cleveland and Washington doesn't seem to lose much of a step.

Chandler Harnish probably isn't going to be able to play at Andy Luck's level.

Homerism aside Indianapolis doesn't lean on Reggie Wayne, Dwayne Allen, T.Y. Hilton, Vick Ballard, or Donnie Avery. They lean on Andrew Luck, and live and die by Andrew Luck. Indianapolis doesn't give Luck a vanilla offense where he has a strong run game to lean on and can use things like read option to open up running and passing lanes, they've asked luck to make big plays all year, they've put a veteran load of responsiblity on him, and he has delivered.

Enough with this last year talk this isn't a contest for who makes a bigger impact on the team this is who had the best year. There is absolutely no way you can argue Luck had a better year than RG3.

And lol @ using backup QBs as a positive factor for Andrew Luck that just shows you gotta reach for shit to find. For the record kirk cousins has thrown 2 less picks than RG3 on the year yet RG3 has played 14 more games than him.

Also I just need to clarify, are you saying Pierre Garcon is a better WR overall than Reggie Wayne? Not talking last year cause again that doesn't matter here. Would also like to point out Garcon played in just 9 games, several of which he left in the first and second quarters with injuries

Wilson should win. Dudes thrown less passes than RG3 yet has 5 more touchdowns, he's a threat to break the rookie record for TD passes and has been pretty good running the ball too.

Luck Avg Yards per Completion = 6.98
Wilson Avg Yards per Completion = 7.67

RG3 does dink and dunk. 48% of his yards come from YAC as opposed to Lucks 39% (third lowest in NFL) and Wilson's 41%.

I guess when determining whether or not a QB dink and dunks we should count any yards the receiver runs with the ball after making the catch huh?

9% is such a huge difference. That equates to 1488 YAC in RG3s stats to 1613 YAC in Lucks total yardage. You take that out and their numbers look like..

RG3: 1,612
Andrew Luck: 2570

I voted Luck because I drafted him late on my fantasy team and he led me to a title [2 QB league, Matty Ice my other QB].

All 3 are obviously deserving, but I went with the homerish fantasy team pick Luck. He has a ton of game winning drives in the 4th quarter.

Luck IMO. Him taking the worst team in the league from 2-14 to a playoff team all on his shoulder means a lot. I watch all of Washingtons games, Griffin benefits from 1. A gimmicky offense that routinely has WRs running wide open when the defense has to bite on 3-4 diff options in the backfield 2. Alfred Morris running as well as any RB in the league not named AP. Washington has the #1 rushing attack in the league and is a huge reason for Griffins success. Luck is being asked to carry a team on his own. Their run game is pedestrian and he has undoubtedly been the only reason for his teams offense winning games. Coming into the season there wasnt (and still isnt) an argument as to has less to work with.

As for the Wilson argument, that defense being as good as it is - is a huge reason for that team being as good as it is, Wilson is playing well though but neither him or Griffin is carrying their teams like Luck is.

The only category which Luck is even leap and bounds better than RG3 is passing yards. Perhaps this is because Andrew Luck has attempted 224 (yes 224) more passes than RG3. Not to mention Luck has more than triple the amount of INT than RG3. RG3 holds several rookie records as well, in fact I'm pretty sure he holds more rookie records than Luck but I could be wrong on that.

This shouldn't even be close between Andrew Luck and RG3 and frankly it wouldn't be if Andrew Luck wasn't touted as the next Peyton Manning by every media outlet out there. Luck isn't #1 in any category outside of passing. If RG3 isn't better than him in the category, Wilson is.

Don't get me wrong all 3 have had great seasons but RG3 has had the best season of the 3. This isn't MVP and shouldn't have to do with impact on team from last year. This is offensive rookie of the year, in other words which rookie has had the best season.

:gooby: Reason Griffins YPC % is so high has everything to do with catch and run, Luck is routinely pushing the ball down field. Skins fans not acknowledging the run game and generally gimmicky offense leading to wide open targets is lulz worthy not to mention the screen passes being broke for big yardage.

1. Skins run a college offense that routinely has WRs running wide open when the D has 3-4 options to bite on

2. Skins have #1 rushing attack and 3rd leading rusher in the league

3. Griffinns YPA is skewed with the catch and run, he doesnt push the ball down field as much as Luck

4. Luck is asked to do far more and isnt as coddled as Griffin in his offense.

Morris is just another Shanahan/Kubiak/Gibbs zone blocking product. Doug E Fresh has had to do a lot of work on his own.
