Who should win Offensive ROTY?

I hate the Skins and Cowboys equally :lesmug: Doesnt make my argument any less truthful. Lets recap:

1. Skins run a college offense

I've probably watched more Redskin games this year mainly due in part to my interest in RG3 and Morris but I still think Luck is the OROY

2. Skins have #1 rushing attack and 3rd leading rusher in the league

3. Griffinns YPA is skewed with the catch and run, he doesnt push the ball down field as much as Luck

4. Luck is asked to do far more and isnt as coddled as Griffin in his offense.

Is any of this untrue?

#1: its working....why would anybody change it

#2: running is key to success in NFL....doesnt matter how. its wins Championships

#3: he doest need to throw downfield all game but we know he can. 3rd leading rusher with Morris and he is a rookie which was nearly undrafted.

#4: Luck does one thing well and thats throwing. not like a Marino either but like a Favre....wreckless.
he throws a ton of INTs.....that is all to say ahout that.

Frankly, you could go co-co-co rookie of the year and I'd have no problem with that.

Since I was forced to vote, I go with Wilson. He was handed absolutely nothing. He had to earn it all. He wasn't handed a starting job.
And I'm sorry, but of the three teams, Seattle's has, by far, the worst receivers. Yeah, they have Marshawn Lynch, but the Redskins' running game is fine.

Again, you could make an argument for all three ... so I just pick the underdog 3rd round pick who got the job over a $10M bonus signing QB (Matt Flynn) and has played his ass off. What Russell Wilson has done is amazing. And, be honest, of the three teams - which one is the biggest threat to play in the Super Bowl?

Over the long haul, I still go Andrew Luck because the other two are injury threats. Both are smaller and I'm not sure a QB can play 12 years playing the read option.

Who cares? If it helps a QB and team succeed, run a fucking Pop Warner offence/offense. Frankly, it's thinking like this that kept Doug Flutie from getting a real shot at the NFL.

The last three Super Bowl Champs (Giants, Packers, Saints) were all not running teams. In fact, both the Giants and Saints had the 32nd ranked rushing attack in the league the year they won the Super Bowl. So how exactly does running win championships?

Attributing RG3s success to Alfred Morris is completely laughable. No team in the league game plans for Morris before RG3. If anything RG3s mobility and reputation has been able to open up the rushing attack this season. Besides, if anyone's success can be attributed to the coaches offensive schemes, it's Alfred Morris. See Mike Bell.


Since when has a backup QB playing well ever discredited a QBs performance? If so might as well start discrediting Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers as both had backups come in and play at either an equal or superior level to them for the same length of time as Kirk Cousins or even longer (Matt Cassel and Matt Flynn)


Every argument against RG3 is completely asinine. Just face it, RG3 had the better season. This isn't an argument over who is the better overall team, who makes the most impact or who will develop better long term. This is who had the best season this year plain and simple. The answer is RG3.

If it wasn't for the media "best QB prospect to come out since Payton" hype surrounding Andrew Luck I think this race would come down to RG3 and Wilson. I think RG3 edges out Wilson cause he's performed slightly better in most areas of the game than Wilson throughout the year, most importantly in TD:INT ratio but I could definitely entertain talk of Wilson getting the award over RG3. They've thrown the ball exactly the same number of times, yet Wilson has thrown double the INT RG3 has while also throwing for less yardage.

Of course this might just be in the homer in me. Like I said, I wouldn't have a problem seeing Wilson get the award. He's had a stellar season.

Not saying Luck had an awful season either. Just saying it wasn't up to par with RG3 or Wilson.

None of Griffins success has anything to do with Morris and all of Lucks has everything to do with Wayne? :lol: Defenses can focus heavily on Wayne and have very little to worry about. Who is their next big threat? TY Hilton? U cant roll covg any where vs the Skins because of that gimmick offense which benefits Griffin a great deal in the passing game. It would be a sin and a shame if he threw a ton of picks when he is constantly throwing to wide open targets in single covg.
