He's so lucky though to have about 2000 yards of offense and 20 touchdowns with only 3 turnovers in his last 8 games though.

Seattle is still ranked 27th in passing yards.....Colts are 7th, Redskins are 18th

RGIII for sure. Lots of haters out there for whatever reason, but he's got the best looking season in regards to total offense and fewer turnovers. Not that it matters, because all three teams weren't very good last season, but of the three QBs being discussed, RGIII had the most to turn around as far as a franchise's perception goes. Still, on a strictly football level, I can't see how either Luck or Wilson could get it over RGIII. I could see Wilson getting the award as Co-OROY but Luck's not even in this race in my mind.

I don't like BigBucs' argument that RG3 is somehow a system quarterback. Every fucking NFL quarterback is a system quarterback. You design your system and find a QB that fits it. Joe Montana wouldn't work as well in the Colts' current deep pass offence as he did in the Niners' west coast. Luck wouldn't work as well as RG3 in the read option.

Every QB in the NFL has a system they're best suited for. To Shanahan's credit, he didn't try to fit a square peg in a round hole and immediately gave RG3 the best scheme for RG3 ... and not the best scheme for Andrew Luck.

thats my point little one. The offensive output by the rookie is comparable to bottom tier teams and he is a distant 3rd to the other 2 guys. so he is not qualified for this award

If Seattle had home advantage throughout the playoffs, they would be the most feared team in the NFC by far. That said, it still wouldn't be a shock to see them get there anyway. But if stupid Richard Sherman is out of the playoffs, they're toast. He broke the cardinal rule - don't get caught.

Yea but what I'm trying to say is that really shouldn't be a factor in this conversation. Most other great QBs in the league throw the same amount of short passes and benefit from it yet no one brings this topic up. The type of offense run should not even be in discussions at the end of the year. It's not up to the QB to choose the offense it's his job to execute it. How can you blame RG3 for executing his offense to damn near perfection?

Maybe if Luck took a page from Griffin's dink and dunk playbook, he wouldn't be 2nd in the league in turnovers.
